Senior Product Manager, U.S. Transplant Marketing, Thymoglobulin

The SPM will be responsible for the strategic development, execution, and management of marketing programs critical to the success of the Thymoglobulin brand. This position will work closely with internal teams such as Operations, Sales, and Medical Affairs to ensure an organized, well-aligned approach to HCP and patient communications/educational materials. The ideal candidate will have had significant strategic marketing and marketing operations experience. They would also have experience working on large-scale, complex projects, supporting and working with various stakeholders. This position will report to the Head of Transplant Marketing within the Oncology-Transplant business unit. The position is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the execution of the US brand strategy for driving share growth and increasing access to kidney transplant

  • Foster strong partnerships with Medical Affairs, Sales, Training, HEOR, Market Research, Analytics, Business Operations, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions to co-develop the brand strategy and ensure aligned objectives and implementation across all functions

  • Serve as brand lead for financial forecasting and planning; contributing to market assumptions on share and market growth

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of solid organ transplantation and market trends; cultivate strong relationships with customers to develop deep market insights

  • Manage the brand’s agency of record and other partners to develop key marketing tactics across various channels

  • Manage marketing budget across all tactical initiatives and sponsorships, while ensuring project timelines are being met

  • Attend and manage promotional review committee meetings to represent new and existing resources, and effectively manage annual renewals / expirations

  • Ensure that all marketing processes, documents and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Sanofi Genzyme corporate compliance guidelines

  • Partner with market insights and operations to track, monitor, and report on key performance indicators. Execute business reviews with cross-functional partners to ensure brand objectives are being met

  • Collaborate with sales training to ensure pull-through of key brand messaging and initiatives

  • Work closely with Sanofi Genzyme’s ONM sales force in order to adapt strategies, tools, training gaps and messages to drive success of US business

  • US travel up to 30%

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 6+ years of pharmaceutical and/or biotech marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in marketing and/or life science

  • Experience specific to transplant or immunology

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology regulatory environment and has proven track record of managing tactical design, messaging and execution.

  • Well-versed in core marketing principles and able to conceptualize and articulate a vision for the brand that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders.

  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate all clinical data / publications to support business objectives.

  • Strong communication skills and track record of effective and influential presentations, delivering complex messages to external and internal customers, including Senior Leadership.

  • Experience managing vendors and holding them accountable to timelines and project cost estimates

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Promotional Review Boards

  • Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional collaboration

  • Ability to think strategically and work independently

  • Excellent analytical skills, well organized, and detail oriented
