The Senior Manager of Partner Enablement (Americas) plays a critical role in enabling scalable growth of Akamai’s business via Channel Partners and Alliances. The Senior Manager of Partner Enablement will lead a global team of Partner Enablement Managers whose responsibility is to ensure that Akamai’s Partners have the knowledge, tools and processes to successfully and independently sell, implement and support Akamai products.
As a Senior Manager of Partner Enablement, you will be responsible for:
∗ Drive Partner adoption of Akamai product and service offerings
∗ Act as trusted advisor to Akamai’s regional channel sales leader on matters of partner recruitment and partner strategy
∗ Identify and eliminate product gaps, prioritize solutions, and influence development by facilitating communication between Partners, account teams, and Akamai product teams.
∗ Contribute to the product launch process representing Partner requirements and priorities.
∗ Ensure focus, quality, and continued development of Partner training materials.
∗ Provide training, structure, and guidance to the sales and services teams at Akamai’s Partners.
∗ Participate in the continued evolution of Akamai's Net Alliance Partner program
∗ Drive Partner Satisfaction by understanding and over-delivering against Partner expectations.
About the Team
The Partner Enablement organization is focused on maximizing partner efficiency and effectiveness through building and maintaining comprehensive tools, processes, training and services for Akamai’s Partner community. The primary objective of the Partner Enablement team is to enable Partners to be self-sufficient at selling, implementing and support Akamai solutions. The Senior Manager of Partner Enablement (Americas) will report to the Senior Director of Global Partner Enablement.
Required Education and Experience:
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or
8 years of relevant experience and a Masters’ degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related technical field or
∗ 7+ years of experience in a customer-facing environment such as, Pre-Sales, Sales or Technical consulting.
∗ 3+ years of experience in a Partner-facing environment including Pre-Sales, Sales, Training, or Technical Consulting.
∗ 3+ years of experience managing teams; preferably global teams.
∗ Education: Masters’ Degree of Science or Masters’ in Business Administration
∗ Possesses deep organizational fluency to drive results in a complex matrix organization.
∗ Proven success defining and executing Partner strategy including training and Partner on boarding.
∗ Demonstrates situational fluency through strong written and verbal communication skills.
∗ Exceptional skill visualizing and documenting technical, organization, and procedural concepts.
∗ Proven effectiveness presenting complex and technical material to varying audiences.
∗ Utilizes broad business acumen and fundamental understanding of channel strategy.
∗ Deep understanding of CDN architecture, solutions, and products, preferably Akamai solutions.
∗ Strong background in Internet Technologies.
∗ Must be willing to travel 30% or more.
