About the Job
As the Sr. Manager of Customer Outcomes for Akamai’s largest accounts you will be responsible for development, alignment and execution of Akamai’s operational strategy for our largest accounts. This is a newly created function and we are seeking a highly self-motivated, experienced individual who has a proven track record for cross-organizational collaboration and execution. The goal of this new outcome oriented team will be to maximize traffic, product adoption, performance, customer satisfaction and revenue by partnering closely with our Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Support, Operations, and Network teams.
As a Senior Manager of Customer Outcomes you will:
Drive successful customer outcomes
Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Support, Operations, and Network teams to design a strategy to address the critical needs of our top customers and drive results
Drive higher customer satisfaction and business growth by identifying the needs, advocating for the needs, and executing on the needs of our top customers.
Leverage the needs of our top customers to transform and improve Akamai’s stand way of operating, while managing concepts from inception to scale.
Provide clear and transparent reports on progress of sponsored projects to Akamai’s executive team
Creation of a team identity, culture, and vision all resulting in a high performing, inclusive team.
Inspire a company-wide culture of customer success.
About the Team
Customer Outcome Engineering is a new team at Akamai within the Media and Carrier Division reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management for Customer Performance. The Media and Carrier Division at Akamai provides industry leading cloud products to serve the media, gaming, software and social industries. Our products are used by the global top businesses to manage, store, and deliver digital content to a wide array of digital devices. Our customers include Apple, Viacom, News Corp, MLB, NBA, Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, and many more.
Required Education and Experience:
10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree or
8 years of relevant experience and a Masters degree
5+ years of experience leading a team
5+ years of experience in a customer outcome oriented role.
3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms, distributing computing, or content distribution technologies
Situational fluency, ability to influence and motivate others and perseverance to handle challenging business situations
Ability to gather data from diverse sources to analytically determine business priorities
Desire for on-going challenges and interest in continuously learning about new Internet technologies and industry best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences
Must be a team player
