Oracle Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy & Operations in Cambridge, Massachusetts
As a senior member of the marketing organization, research and analyze the markets and competition to identify business opportunities for Oracle, the world*s largest enterprise software company. As a key contributor to the worldwide marketing team, your research will help to drive delivery of Oracle's message to the marketplace, contributing to effectiveness and business results.
Initiate and develop techniques for research and analysis of current and future markets, products and services identifying business opportunities that support the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Advise management and assist in the management of subordinates to meet business targets and best practice solutions: this will include coaching and development of team members. Propose, influence and disseminate key corporate information to the geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Provide senior management with technical and professional advice to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Assist management with directing marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography implementation choices - and provide technical leadership in areas of risk management and leading edge solution. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a geographical basis/as needed. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business & market needs.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. E-business Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The Senior Manager of Marketing Operations & Strategy is a key member of HCM SaaS business planning and operations team. This role will be instrumental in developing initiatives that contribute directly to business growth and will help improve efficacy of global HCM Marketing team. This is a highly visible role that will interact with global cross functional groups across Oracle’s entire marketing organization. The role requires building strong, trusting relationships with a global audience, while driving key initiatives through clear and concise communication.
Plan, participate and assist with the strategic and tactical business planning requiring close communication and interaction with senior leaders
Serve as an advisor and trusted partner to ensure the marketing team is operating efficiently and moving towards the strategy we set out
Own fiscal year planning process for Marketing organization, synthesizing inputs to identify strategic focus areas, resources required and build annual strategic plan
Integrate regional marketing plans and align plans with global priorities and objectives
Coordinate with various marketing execution teams like field marketing, campaigns marketing, digital marketing and product marketing to create structure and a “story” for monthly business reviews
Oversees cross-functional, organization-wide marketing initiatives, working with appropriate business partners and a variety of stakeholders as necessary
Responsible for day-to-day team operations and strategically improving marketing team efficiency
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, MBA degree preferred
Marketer with experience in one or more – Digital Marketing, Field Marketing, Campaigns, Product Marketing
5 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing operations-related and/or planning function
Strong communicator with the ability to distill complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing
Demonstrated organizational, planning and project management skills; the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems and manage multiple initiatives
Marketing planning experience in software/SaaS/Cloud and/or HCM market
