Akamaiâs Global Communications team drives thought leadership and influences external stakeholder perceptions as well as informs, engages and motivates employees through strategic storytelling and communications initiatives. The team engages with leadership and works cross-functionally to build and execute communication plans that support Akamai's strategic vision and business goals.
Expand Akamaiâs Voice and Thought Leadership
In this new role, you will support our newly appointed CTO who serves as a catalyst for innovation and an evangelist focused on growing Akamai's voice in the marketplace. You will develop and execute the communications strategy and craft content for our CTO's external and internal communications, event participation and social media presence.
As a Senior Manager, CTO Executive Communications, you will be responsible for:
Driving a communications strategy to expand our CTO's visibility as an advocate for innovation and preparing our customers to harness new technologies
Working with global communications and Office of the CTO colleagues to implement a thought leadership-driven communications plan through traditional and social media channels
Supporting our CTOâs participation in external events and industry groups
Synthesizing complex information and data to develop clear and compelling content that resonates with customers, partners, employees, and other stakeholders
Overseeing the work of outside agencies supporting the companyâs executive visibility efforts
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
Have 10 years of relevant experience and a Bachelorâs degree
Demonstrate project management skills and ability to prioritize and execute efficiently when priorities shift
Build alignment, trust and productive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners
Enjoy working independently and in a team-oriented collaborative, global environment
Use good judgment and problem-solving ability
