Designing and implementing the next generation of Pega’s low-code app building capabilities through close collaboration with a team of industry-leading Product professionals and a diverse global team, the Sr. Director, Product Management plays a crucial role in product strategy, planning and design to ensure Pega’s Platform is differentiated from competitors’. This position is involved with the product throughout all stages of its life cycle (conception, definition, development, release, level-3 support and post-release activities).

What You'll Do at Pega:

  • Act as a technical and architectural thought leader for the strategy and development of Pega’s Customer Service CRM applications.

  • Collaborate with sales, product management and marketing leaders to develop product roadmaps and strategy that demonstrate thought leadership based on customer and market needs

  • Perform regular analysis and assessment of complementary and competing technology to help inform and drive roadmaps and strategy

  • Develop a backlog of epics and stories required to deliver on the product roadmap

  • Collaborate with product teams to provide regular feedback and support and identify emerging platform features that can be incorporated into Pega Customer Service

  • Provide product-specific support to Sales, Marketing, Professional Services and Training teams as needed. This person should establish himself or herself as a market and product exert and thought leader and expect to be sought out for this type of support on a regular basis

Who You Are:

You are a market and product expert in the customer service space. This position requires an excellent communicator who can effectively articulate strategy and vision to industry analysts, while also supporting sales efforts through interactions with executives at our prospects, customers and partners. You are detail-oriented, ensuring that our product is secure, responsive, reliable and differentiated from the competition. You bring technical depth and experience in leading the construction and implementation of enterprise software applications and can communicate across business and engineering teams.

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in software product management, with a minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership role (Engineering/Product Development Management, Technical Architect, Technical Project Lead)

  • Expert level knowledge of CRM, Customer Service and Contact Center technologies

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM

  • Strong experience in assessing and managing project risk, while driving tactical objectives in an assertive, fast-growing and dynamic engineering organization

  • Extensive experience defining, designing and delivering enterprise scale systems

  • Experience in building or leading the development of customer service applications at large-scale (Global 2000) enterprises

  • Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical resources

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully to both internal and external customers, including senior executives
