Our team is responsible for all aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions, strategic investment strategy and execution. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external entrepreneurs, investors and advisors to source and execute the most impactful deals to strengthen Akamai's leadership position.

Partner with the best

In this role you will be a trusted advisor to the Web and Enterprise divisions, responsible for originating, assessing and leading the execution of various acquisitions, investments and strategic transactions. You will develop business strategy, growth objectives and measurement metrics and lead teams to achieve divisional goals for the company.

As Senior Director of Corporate Development, you will be responsible for:

• Managing all aspects of deal leadership, pipeline development, analysis, due diligence, negotiation, issue resolution and performance tracking

• Preparing financial models for candidate companies and related transactions, and presenting business cases to key stakeholders

• Cultivating a disciplined, metric-based approach that enables data driven decisions

• Collaborating with functional teams to evaluate and successfully execute opportunities

• Leading and developing a high performing team to achieve goals

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 12 years of relevant experience in business development and a bachelors degree or its equivalent

• Have experience leading all phases of the transaction process, including origination, negotiation, execution and measurement

• Have planning, financial and analytical skills with experience in valuation and acquisition pro forma modeling

• Have experience developing effective deal structures, risk mitigation and negotiating strategies

• Be results driven with the ability to shepherd projects on tight timelines to completion

• Be a team player with exceptional communication, collaboration and have experience working with executive level stakeholders
