As a Business Development Manager within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Competitive Intelligence team you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy on how we scale our competitive intelligence efforts across our ISV and SI partners. You will serve as an expert resource on the competitive benefits of AWS. You will work across a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders to evolve, develop, and implement partner competitive intelligence programs that will accelerate the mutual business of our ISV and SI Partners and AWS. You will work closely with customers, partners, and the AWS field organization to gather feedback related to designing and delivering world class partner programs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the Business Development team in helping to drive AWS Sales engagements with our customers and partners.
Develop programs to provide and scale our competitive messaging to our ISV and SI partners
Work with AWS partner teams to handle customer questions or concerns about AWS, as compared to our competitors
Serve as a central resource for the Partner team to help our educate our partners on the benefits around the detailed decisions in selection of AWS as their cloud technology
Work closely with the sales team to drive closure on our highest priority opportunities in the pipeline.
Work with AWS Sales, BD and Marketing teams, drive proactive competitive intelligence conversations and sales messaging with our partners
Understand the business and technical requirements of our customers and partners and determine how their needs can best be met by AWS.
Work with Analyst relations to create a repository of Competitive Intelligence assets to share with partners
Serve as a key source of market insights into how our partners and their customers view the benefits of using AWS relative to the broader Cloud Computing market
- 5-10 years of pre-sales solution engineering, solution architecture or business development experience
5+ Years of technical experience in Cloud Computing concepts in general and/or AWS specific technologies, platforms and solutions
- 2+ Years of experience developing content and messaging to scale across thousands of sales reps and/or partners
5+ years in customer-facing roles
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
Technical Certification on AWS (or other cloud technology platform)
The right person will be analytical
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

This position must be located at one of our U.S. AWS Corp. offices with a preference for Seattle.
