COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING COORDINATOR, Supply Chain Management (SCM)/MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) Network, to coordinate external marketing, advertising, public relations, messaging, and general promotion for SCM programs and the SCALE Network. Will develop, implement, and measure the SCM and SCALE integrated communications strategy; perform marketing activities (e.g., acquire budget approval, coordinate advertising, direct point electronic marketing, create collateral); compose and design marketing letters; design, edit, and maintain websites; provide blog and student writing support; create graphical design for flyers/brochures; take photographs, edit and produce videos, and organize filing systems; develop and implement--as directed--a comprehensive media relations strategy; oversee social media marketing; ensure correct use of brand and print material; segment large mailing lists into smaller targeted lists; send out email blasts and oversee mass mailings; organize/host webinars for prospective students; maintain contact lists/databases; assist with events; and perform other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience in marketing analysis and marketing technical operations; comfort using and creating content for social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WordPress; experience with paid search on Google, Facebook, and LinkedIn ads; experience tailoring content to maximize search engine optimization; ability to multitask and juggle multiple requests simultaneously; ability to work effectively with a wide range of researchers, students, faculty, and external journalists/media; and excellent organizational, writing, and proofreading skills. Must be highly proficient with the internet, social media, electronic publishing, website creation, and data analysis tools; MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat); and web content management and analytic tools (Drupal 8, Google Analytics, HTML). Must also be proficient with communication tools (WebEx, Constant Contact, MailChimp). Job #15840-N
