  • Willingness to learn and master new project management, communication, and file sharing platforms

  • Strong research skills, resourcefulness, and keen attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team

This is a benefits-eligible term appointment ending 2/28/2025, with the possibility of renewal based on business needs and continued funding.

Amgen Biotech Experience (ABE) (https://www.amgenbiotechexperience.com/) is an innovative science education program that introduces students to the excitement of scientific discovery and builds bridges between school and real-life biosciences. Amgen Scholars Program (https://amgenscholars.com/) is an undergraduate summer research program in science and biotechnology.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the administrative contact for the Amgen Foundation, Amgen Biotech Experience, and Amgen Scholars Program.

  • Support the design and preparation of stewardship materials, proposals, and reports.

  • Draft, compile, and proofread written communications.

  • Work closely with the LabXchange content development team to facilitate key curricular deliverables.

  • Provide logistics and administrative support to programs, activities, and special events.

  • Prepare meeting and project materials, maintain and update systems of organization and communication, schedule internal meetings and triage tasks.

  • Research and disseminate key news, events, and background to internal and external stakeholders. Other duties as assigned.

The Project Coordinator, External Relations at Harvard University’s LabXchange is a new, grant-funded position that will work to support engagement with the Amgen Foundation and its flagship programs, the Amgen Biotech Experience and Amgen Scholars Program. Reporting to the Outreach & Communications Manager, the position will cultivate key relationships and ensure alignment with Amgen Foundation initiatives to advance key administrative, communications, and programmatic objectives strategic to LabXchange’s work.

The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and have strong communication skills. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team; a strong interest in relationship management and collaboration; and the ability to manage confidential information.
