Microsoft Federal entity will meet obligations of manage contracts with the USG through six business teams and three enablement teams.

The Federal Marketing & Operations Group (Federal M&O) is the center of excellence across Microsoft Federal. The Federal M&O team drives helps scale execution and drives clear business and market insights that result in Microsoft Federal achieving its business objectives.

Responsibilities

Are you looking for an opportunity to work with a great team in a high impact position? Microsoft Federal is looking for a collaborative team member with a growth mindset to shape the Modern Commerce program for Microsoft Federal.

Modern Commerce is the company wide push to modernize and to make life simpler for our customers, our partners and our sellers to do business with Microsoft.

As part of the Federal M&O LeadershipTeam, this position is accountable to connect across all groups in Microsoft and and drive the Modern Commerce strategy and implementation for Microsoft Federal.

Key responsibilities:

  • Describe and analyze the primary business capabilities required for Modern Commerce in Federal

  • Help drive strategic investment recommendations with stakeholders and contribute to multi-year roadmaps (Process, Capability, Technology, Business Change & Portfolio)

  • Drive business process prioritization, documentation and optimization across the topic

  • Design and development solutions aligned to the Business Operating Model with a focus process design & optimization

  • Support the Modern Commerce Lead to drive the Commerce model for Microsoft Federal in close collaboration with teams across Microsoft

  • Connect with key stakeholders across the business and be an active driver and point of contact for Federal throughout the deep transformation of Modern Commerce at Microsoft

  • Manage Federal requirements related to the Commerce platform

  • Deeply understand the Commercial Execution Playbooks and the Empower Success Release Guide to foster ideation, leveraging innovation to drive continuous strategic business change in relation to Modern Commerce

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • 7+ years of Program Management, Operations, Sales Management, Business Architecture, Federal procurement, contracting and/or software licensing experience.

  • Self-motivated, confident in working with Leaders and comfortable working in a matrix organization.

  • Preferably experience with Commerce models, processes and systems

  • Able to achieve results through influence across multiple organizations. Executive exposure and cross-functional stakeholder management

  • Strong cross-group collaboration skills to access creative solutions in a highly complex, fast-moving business.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and coordinate multiple work streams of activities.

  • Experience collaborating with multiple distributed teams in order to drive initiatives on time, within budget and with quality.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, time management, presentation, and writing skills.

Experience Preferred

  • Program / Project management methods and certification (e.g. PMP)

  • Functional (Partner, Services, Sales, Marketing) knowledge

Cloud Screening: Candidates must be able to successfully complete and pass a Microsoft Cloud background screening. Required Cloud Screenings will be administered on a recurring bi-annual basis.
