IBM is looking for an experienced Product Manager to deliver innovative and integrated security solutions to secure hybrid cloud environments. Your primary objective will be to drive the adoption, sale and overall client success of IBM Security Services solutions. Joining IBM Security gives you the opportunity to:

  • Shape our strategy based on your assessment of market and competitive trends

  • Build and pitch business cases aligned to the strategy, securing investments

  • Collaborate with a team of experts in areas of automation, AI, native cloud, DevOps, threat management and security operations experts to deliver new, market-leading services designed to help clients simplify and mature their security program

  • Align IBM Security Services with our route-to-market partners, embedding our solutions in their plans and building joint offerings

  • Be involved in the fast growing, cyber security space while working for a company that's the recognized leader in the enterprise security

This role requires collaboration and coordination across internal and external teams and will be visible at the highest levels of our organization. You'll work with IBM clients, peer product managers, operational stakeholders and senior leaders to prioritize roadmap features while spearheading the definition and delivery of new and differentiated capabilities.

The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills, problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated relevant experience with security solutions. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambitious projects that will be industry defining. This position requires a strong technical background in addition to solid business acumen. The candidate should be client-focused with a passion for delivering compelling client experiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and collaborate to identify new opportunities for IBM Security to innovate and maximize customer outcomes leading to increased stickiness and mutual expansion in the market.

  • Develop business cases to support investments required to drive success

  • Collaborate with peer Product Managers to align and prioritize the integration of IBM Security offerings to each route to market.

  • Establish goals and manage metrics to measure and meet our business objectives.

  • Understand and track the health and adoption of services within individual routes to market; gather feedback of future needs.

  • Team with IBM and technology alliance partners as it relates to their technology being leveraged as part of IBM Security's offerings.

  • Work with local and regional IBM sales leadership around the world to understand and track the health and adoption of services within individual routes to market; gather feedback of future needs and incorporate the needs into our strategy and roadmap.

  • Support sales by enabling business development and sales teams, supporting client meetings, and helping to identify opportunities to increase that success.

  • Use lean product management and agile practices to incubate new service capabilities required. Lead and execute strategic planning and tactical execution including:

  • market analysis

  • business case development

  • competitive analysis

  • go-to-market definition

  • materials development

  • sales training

  • overall performance of the offering

  • Support press and analyst activities as required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with 'as a service' offerings

  • Experience with cloud adoption including DevOps, automation, and support for native cloud capabilities

  • Experience with security operations and threat management products and/or services and their real-world application within a security operation

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve aggressive business objectives

  • Proven ability to synthesize complex issues and opinions into simple stories

  • Attention to details, proactive self-starter

  • Ability to coach team members and guide them to deliver on business commitments

  • Ability to analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and scope business requirements

  • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion in an iterative way

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads

  • Ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions

Candidates must be willing to travel up to 30%, including international travel.
