Superpedestrian Product Manager, Hardware in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Superpedestrian is seeking a Product Manager to own our overall hardware strategy. Working alongside our engineering, supply chain, and design teams the Product Manager will lead the effort to design and build safe, efficient vehicles our customers will love to ride. The Product Manager will be responsible for sustaining our current products and for establishing new brand-defining hardware products as Superpedestrian?s global presence expands.

The ideal candidate has diverse experience in the micromobility space with exposure to hardware and software development, as well as mechanical and embedded engineering. This role is an opportunity to be directly involved in transforming sustainable urban mobility in a rapidly growing organization. The position is based in our Cambridge, MA office, with occasional travel required. We are looking to hire immediately.

What you?ll do:

  • Understand Superpedestrian?s strategic and competitive position and deliver world class products through an understanding of our users, the latest technological trends and competitive advances.

  • Establish a shared hardware product vision and communicate the product roadmap across the organization

  • Set priorities and manage cross-functional projects across teams such as hardware engineering, supply chain operations, policy, and marketing.

  • Lead experiments and use data to inform decisions across a wide spectrum of stakeholders from partner teams to executive levels.

  • Manage cross-functional projects and time-critical tasks with experts across teams such as hardware engineering, supply chain operations, policy, and marketing

  • Own Superpedestrian?s Hardware products, existing or new, through the entire product lifecycle.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience of product management, product design or equivalent consulting experience. (i.e. vehicle design, consumer electronics, mass-production products).

  • Experience developing and deploying hardware platforms.

  • Experience with micromobility vehicles is a plus, but not required.

  • Ability to work with Solidworks a big plus, not required.

  • Ability of analyzing complex data (SQL), create scripts (Python preferred), understand logs and Kibana.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Passion for mobility and improving transportation.

  • Ability to get things done and a comfort working with ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.

  • Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize across multiple projects for a variety of stakeholders.

  • A passion for making data informed decisions and the ability to define and analyze metrics to make our products successful.

  • Ability to communicate across the organization and represent the company externally.

  • Able to be active ? bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • You are able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
