We are hiring a Data & Insights Program Manager to work with highly motivated and talented professionals building scalable data platforms and deliver intelligent and actionable insights for empowering Microsoft’s customer, partner, and sellers to be successful. This is a unique opportunity to use your technical leadership skills, vision, and strategy in defining and evolving our Digital Signal Insights engine that synthesizes various digital signals, org strategies and leverages advanced AI/ML algorithms to identify key actionable insights that are optimized based on user roles and user goals. As the Principal Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Vision: Understand our customers, stakeholders, data sources and needs to build a vision on creating seamless, comprehensive intelligent, role curated and actionable data insights to improve the productivity and effectiveness of end users.
Technical Strategy & Plans - Define technical vision, specifications and more importantly, deliver tactically against that same strategy in partnership with our Data Engineering and Data-Science-as-a-Service (DSaaS) teams. Ability to be highly agile, yet still accomplish long-term vision and short-term goals.
Technology Roadmap - Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels to create a solid technical roadmap.
Customer Focus and partnership: Partner with different data sources/ platform providers, data science teams and insights platforms to create technically and strategically aligned architecture and SLAs.
Team - Fostering a strong working relationship with other partner teams. Mentoring and growing broader MCDS teams to bring in impact, efficiency and better productivity.
Hands on - Embracing an adaptable and flexible organizational culture and thrive in our fast paced and evolving technology, finding solutions to hard problems at massive scale and operationalizing them
7+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Business Intelligence, Big Data and Data Science solutions
3+ years of experience on projects building data and API services at scale
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent Industry Experience
Track record of exhibiting Technical depth and quick ramp up on new products and technologies
Excellent customer advocate, self-starter and problem solver
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with internal and external stakeholders effectively
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a passion for building great scalable products
Experience collaborating and communicating with cross functional teams
Ability to bring structure to ambiguous business problems and create innovative, scalable solutions
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with software release management practices, tools, and automation
Domain experience of one ore more cloud providers like Azure, AWS, GCP
Knowledge in PL/SQL and programming languages like Java/Scala/C# is a plus
