The Microsoft Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft. The team works across a broad group internal Microsoft product and business groups, driving business impact by leading the development of innovative and world-class paid media strategies designed to meet our stakeholders’ unique business goals. The team’s responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft’s media innovation across media channels and ad tech.

We are seeking a curious and passionate Paid Social Media professional to join the Cloud Media team managing the strategy, planning, and execution of Paid Social Media campaigns for our diverse set of Cloud and Commercial stakeholders. How you will be making an impact in this role:

  • Help Microsoft achieve its Cloud and Commercial business goals by leading the development of innovative Paid Social Media strategies and plans, partnering with our media agency, internal execution teams, and analytics leads to ensure accurate media execution, perform campaign optimizations, and deliver campaign reporting and insights.

  • Build strong relationships with internal Cloud and Commercial marketing teams and stakeholders to learn and understand their business objectives and campaign goals and educate stakeholders about the role of paid media.

  • Apply your knowledge of paid social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Twitch, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and others to recommend a strategic approach and efficient media mix plans that achieve campaign goals.

  • Ensure fiscal compliance by partnering closely with internal and agency finance and media partners to ensure all campaigns stay within budget parameters and comply with finance requirements.

  • Ensure accurate campaign creative delivery, tagging, naming conventions, and brand safety protocols by coordinating closely with stakeholders, ad operations, and execution teams.

  • Help evolve the team by contributing your feedback, ideas, and creativity.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience managing Paid Social media campaigns (client and/or agency-side)

  • Deep understanding of social media ad platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, Twitch, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube

  • Growth mindset, with strong curiosity and a desire to learn from others and share knowledge

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, be solutions oriented, and solve problems creatively

Preferred Qualifications

  • College BA/BS or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization with multiple lines of accountability

  • Able to work across a highly matrixed organization that includes internal and external stakeholders and partners, plus multiple lines of accountability.

  • Ability to be agile and adjust to change

  • Strong communication skills

  • Believes that success is a shared accountability across the whole team
