MARKETING STRATEGIST, ANNUAL GIVING, Alumni Association, to lead and manage the strategy and process for direct mail and texting solicitations for the MIT Annual Giving department, including production, proofing, and data management. Will actively participate in brainstorming creative and technical solutions to fundraising projects and several campaigns to achieve goals for the Annual Giving Program; create, manage, and maintain texting channel and direct mail schedule and budgets effectively and efficiently; develop and coordinate, with digital marketing strategist, project work of marketing assistant along with monitoring performance and mentoring; and coordinate e-solicitations for campus partners when appropriate.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least five years of communications experience; ability to approach problems and brainstorm solutions as part of a team; experience setting and implementing strategy, including establishing and meeting goals and priorities; excellent organizational, project management, planning, problem-solving, time-management, decision-making, interpersonal, editorial, and verbal communication skills; ability to multitask, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail; a flexible approach to the working environment; functional knowledge of desktop publishing software; and ability to work with numbers and analysis. Must be able to work independently and contribute effectively as part of a team in a diverse, collaborative, and service-oriented environment. PREFERRED: background in direct-response marketing or philanthropy.
