To support our growth, we’re looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team.

This role reports to the Americas Regional Director of Marketing, Communication & Engagement for the Compass business. In partnership with the Regional Director, this individual develops and deploys the brand and marketing plan for a region in support of both program-wide priorities and local needs.

Partnering with colleagues locally, regionally and globally, the position creates and activates initiatives included in the marketing plan, such as insights and analytics, brand campaigns, strategic communications, and engagement programs with a focus on building user trust, educating users on program intentionality, building brand ambassadors, and managing community sentiment.

The role will be based in Cambridge, MA

The great things you’ll do

  • Brand and Strategy Development : Collaboratively lead the development, rollout and execution/implementation of the local/ regional food program marketing and communications strategy, including ideating, proposing, developing and maintaining campaigns, social media/email presence, event management, internal marketing communication, community relations and vendor engagement.

  • User-Facing (Storytelling) : Contribute towards/curate the development of editorial, rich content to be deployed across relevant channels. Research, develop, activate and manage food program related conversations within the tech environment that specifically encourage positive participation of the program and is consistent with/reinforces the client's brand through an advocacy strategy.

  • Innovation & Insights : Investigate, research and deeply understand both current trends and future forecasts in marketing, food service, end user/customer engagement, corporate food experiences and food related health and wellness developments/trends which may contribute to the continual improvement of the program strategy with a focus on marketing strategy. Support/ Lead efforts to further develop, customize and execute innovative brand, communication and user experience efforts.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business including Regional Food Program Managers, Global client team, Sector leadership team, Compass Global team and MCE team both locally and globally. Co-create (support and/or develop) key program initiatives to support the brand architecture and organizational goals.

  • What we look for in the perfect candidate

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Communications (or equivalent)

  • 5-8 years of related brand marketing, brand building, brand communication and digital marketing experiences

  • Good analytical skills and ability to evaluate information to communicate concise trends and recommendations to enhance brand equity and performance

  • Ability to build credibility and trust with key stakeholder groups (Compass, Sector, client, peers, Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience supporting a multi-site operational business model

  • Commercially focused, data-driven with ability to demonstrate impact and results

  • Agency, franchise organization, or like experience preferred with clear understanding of relationship building with client organization

  • Experience in managing and working with creative, media and research agency partners

Minimal travel required for the role (10-15%).

Job Summary

This individual will develop and implement the marketing plan and budget for each fiscal year with the goal of increasing and retaining existing market share. They will work with sector partners to ensure the implementation of a quality program meeting and exceeding corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages implementation of marketing tactics cross-departmentally (operations, culinary, nutrition) to ensure success

  • Analyzes customer research, current market conditions and competitor information

  • Develops and implements marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts

  • Delivers marketing activity within agreed budget

  • Reports on return on investment and key performance metrics

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Hospitality Management

  • 3-5 years of experience

  • Ability to present to large groups

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to direct implementation and produce positive outcomes by working through teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
