MARKETING ASSOCIATE, MIT Professional Education (PE) (https://professional.mit.edu/) , to provide support for campaigns, projects, events, presentations, social media, websites, and emails; maintain up-to-date printed and virtual marketing materials/assets; and handle invoicing and other activities. Responsibilities may also include providing overall administrative support for the department; assisting with events, campaigns, and seasonal planning; maintaining, sourcing, and uploading image/text files; proofreading; formatting communications/marketing materials/collateral; routine editing; compiling basic information and drafting routine communications/marketing content; and other duties as requested.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; three years’ related work experience, preferably in a corporate marketing or front-line customer-facing setting; attention to detail and accuracy; experience with or interest in learning marketing technology and tools; excellent organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, customer service, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication and presentation skills; team orientation; flexible approach to the work day; self-motivation; discretion and sound judgment with confidential/sensitive matters; in-depth knowledge of marketing, web, social media, and project management; and proficiency with Macs, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Slack. Must be able to prioritize and track multiple projects and schedules simultaneously; grasp and understand new market needs and gauge cultural differences; build productive, collaborative working relationships with a variety of individuals at all levels; work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines in a fast-moving, high-volume environment; and move/transport marketing materials/boxes weighing twenty pounds. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field; experience in higher education and/or at MIT; and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Drupal, Salesforce, Pardot, web content management systems, marketing automation tools, project and social media management software, Slack, basic HTML, SEO, and Google Analytics.
