Sanofi Group Head, US Marketing Respiratory – Asthma in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Dupixent is a significant growth driver for Sanofi Genzyme and Sanofi organizations.
Dupixent is a monoclonal antibody targeting Type 2 inflammatory diseases by blocking IL 4 and IL 13 cytokines. These cytokines play a key role in many atopic and allergic diseases such as Atopic Dermatitis (AD), Asthma, Nasal Polyps, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and other dermatologic and respiratory diseases. Dupixent was approved in March 2017 for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe AD and received a second approval for adolescents with AD in March 2019. Additionally, Dupixent received approval for moderate to severe Asthma in October 2018 for patients 12 years and above. The Dermatology and Respiratory indications serve as anchors for this product which is referred to as a “pipeline in a product”, due to the many indications that are approved or are being studied.
In less than 2 years since first approval, Dupixent achieved blockbuster status and requires top talent in the company to shepherd the success of this asset. The Head of US Marketing Dupixent Asthma will play a significant part in developing strategies, messages, and tactics to help realize the goals of this product.
Location: United States- Cambridge, Massachusetts, must already have US work authorization.
Position Summary :
The Head of US Marketing for Dupixent Asthma will lead the development and implementation of the US strategy and tactics for Dupixent in Asthma. They will lead a cross functional team empowered to develop and execute the Dupixent asthma strategy. This individual will be expected to collaborate and communicate effectively in a matrix organization with significant interactions with Brand Marketing, Patient and Provider Services, Medical, Thought Leader Liaison Leadership, Business Operations, Corporate and Business Unit Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Market Access, Global Marketing and Senior North America Leadership. This role will have a team of 7 and will manage multiple external agencies / consultants. The position will be based in Cambridge Massachusetts and will report the Head of US Respiratory and GI for Dupixent.
Role Responsibilities :
Responsible for the successful development and execution of the US strategy in Asthma.
Responsible for the development of launch plans, as well as effective governance with our Alliance partners.
Head of the US Asthma leadership team. This team is made up of cross functional leadership in Asthma.
Develop and manage the commercial asthma forecast for the brand (short, mid, and long term), including required resources/OPEX, and managing the Asthma P&L.
Manage brand performance with emphasis on market analytics and measuring key performance indicators, and propose mitigation plan as needed, with high sense of urgency
Attract, develop, and retain a best-in-class US Marketing team.
Engage with the external stakeholders on behalf of the Sanofi and the alliance.
Ensure brand consistency across indications outside of Asthma in partnership with other Respiratory, GI, Dermatology and Portfolio Marketing teams.
Develop strategic partnerships with medical, market access, business ops, etc. to ensure alignment of strategy across functions.
Contribute to the Key opinion leader strategy.
Build internal and external awareness (Sanofi and the alliance).
Work collaboratively within the alliance always prioritizing what is best for patients and the brand.
Partner across functions and therapeutic areas to enhance overall value proposition.
Member of G10 Global Respiratory Team focused on product development and strategy
Act as a sponsor and ally for inclusion and diversity in all elements of our business
Comply with all forms of legal and statutory regulation within domain of responsibility, including compliance with applicable SOPs, industry codes of practice and best practices and actively support and promote a compliance culture and safe environment throughout the organization
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing or business required.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in commercial operations: sales, marketing, sales analytics, product/project management, and/or consulting.
5 years expertise in Respiratory.
Strong strategic thinking skills are required. Collaboration, conceptual and innovation skills.
Previous experience in collaborating cross-functional groups, made up of the following: Marketing, Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Finance, Forecasting, etc.
Launch experience in specialty care
P&L management experience is a must
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to lead in an ambiguous environment across different functions

Analytic capabilities with the ability to understand, simplify and communicate effectively with others

The successful candidate will be required to sign and execute a restricted covenant upon hire.
