Sanofi Group Head, Marketing – Atopic Dermatitis (AD) in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Sanofi Genzyme is the specialty division of Sanofi. Sanofi Genzyme focuses on complex disease areas where there is a significant unmet need with the goal of developing and delivering best-in-category treatments. Dupixent is a significant growth driver for Sanofi Genzyme and the overall Sanofi organization.
Dupixent is a monoclonal antibody targeting Type 2 inflammatory diseases by blocking IL 4 and IL 13 cytokines. These cytokines play a key role in many atopic and allergic diseases such as Atopic Dermatitis (AD), Asthma, Nasal Polyps, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and other dermatologic and respiratory diseases. Dupixent was approved in March 2017 for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe AD and received additional approvals for adolescents and pediatric patients with AD, in 2019 and 2020 respectively. Additionally, Dupixent received approval for moderate to severe Asthma in October 2018 for patients 12 years and above. The Dermatology and Respiratory indications serve as anchors for this product which is referred to as a “pipeline in a product”, due to the many indications that are approved or are being studied.
In less than 2 years since its first approval, Dupixent achieved blockbuster status and requires top talent in the company to shepherd the success of this asset. The Head of AD Marketing will play a significant part in leading a large cross-functional team through the development of strategies and execution plans to help realize the goals of this product.
Location: United States - Cambridge, Massachusetts, must already have US work authorization.
Position Overview/Key Responsibilities
Position Summary :
The Head of Marketing for Dupixent AD will lead the development and implementation of the US strategy and tactical plans for Dupixent in AD. They will lead a cross functional team empowered to develop and execute the Dupixent AD strategy. This individual will be expected to collaborate and communicate effectively in a matrix organization with significant interactions with Brand Marketing, Sales, Market Research, Thought Leader Liaison, Market Access, Patient Services, Communications, Human Resources, Medical, HEOR, Finance, Analytics, Forecasting, Business Operations and Senior North America Leadership. This role will lead a team of 10 marketers and will report to the US Head of Dermatology for DUPIXENT.
Role Responsibilities :
Responsible for the successful development and execution of the US Dupixent strategy in AD.
As the head of the US AD leadership team, develop strategic partnerships with functional leaders to ensure alignment of strategy across functions.
Develop and manage the commercial AD forecast for the brand (short, mid, and long term), including required resources/OPEX, and managing the AD P&L.
Manage and report on brand performance with emphasis on market analytics and measuring key performance indicators.
Attract, develop, and retain a best-in-class US AD team.
Engage with external stakeholders on behalf of Sanofi, Dupixent, and the alliance.
Ensure brand consistency across indications, in partnership with the New Dermatology Indications and Respiratory teams, as well as the Portfolio Marketing teams.
Contribute to the key opinion leaders/stakeholders engagement strategy and execution plan.
Build internal and external awareness (Sanofi, Dupixent, and the alliance).
Work collaboratively with alliance partners, always prioritizing what is best for patients and the brand.
Act as a sponsor and ally for inclusion and diversity in all elements of our business.
Comply with all forms of legal and statutory regulation within domain of responsibility, including compliance with applicable SOPs, industry codes of practice and best practices and actively support and promote a compliance culture and safe environment throughout the organization.
Member of the Dupixent US Dermatology Leadership Team.
Member of the G10 Global AD Team focused on product development and strategy.
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing or business required
Minimum of 15 years’ experience across a variety of commercial roles e.g., sales, marketing and marketing leadership, market access, consulting.
P&L management experience is a must.
Team leadership/management experience is a must.
Previous experience in collaborating with cross-functional groups, made up of the following: Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs, Market Research, Finance, Forecasting, etc.
Expertise in Dermatology.
Alliance partnership experience is a plus.
