Microsoft is looking for a Global Partner Sales Leader to strengthen our partner relationships, manage partner resources and drive impact across our Sales, Delivery, and Global Program Office partner resources.

As the Glopal Partner Sales Leader you will be the strategy owner for the partner consulting business, a change agent for a stronger Microsoft+Partner ecosystem and the partner advocate across the organization. This role is focused on driving strategic collaboration constructs with key partners that compliment Microsoft Consulting capabilities in a way that results in a differentiated customer experience.

This role will also be key in advising our engineering team on new partner technology solutions that Microsoft should consider for investment. The role will deliver Microsoft and partner consulting revenue growth across Microsoft cloud services — as well as other advanced technologies including AI, cognitive services, mixed reality, robotics, digital twins, blockchain and others — by developing the partner ecosystem, and landing a universally understood engagement framework, as well as positioning industry solutions that solve the customers business challenges as they digitally transform their businesses.

This role will also serve on the leadership team owning the Consulting Services partner strategy and be the voice of Consulting Services to the Senior Leadership Team of Microsoft’s top Global Systems Integrators, Advisory and Individual Software Vendor accounts. This Senior Executive will work closely with our Consulting Services Regional/Area Leaders, Microsoft Global Solutions Team, Microsoft Global Partner Solutions team and other key stakeholders to build multi-year connected business with partner plans.

This role must rally the ecosystem internally and externally to establish Microsoft Consulting Services as a trusted partner who enables the businesses of identified GSI/Advisories who have made a commitment to Microsoft and ensure we together demonstrate customer success in the top 500 Strategic Accounts. This Senior Leader deeply understands the GSI, Advisories and ISV business models, industry challenges, competitive landscape, and is well respected within the industry. The role is expected to contribute to all levels of the Partner strategy to include development of Partner Engagement Frameworks, Incentive plans, and technical enablement of partners through Microsoft Services.

The successful candidate will be an experienced strategist and business leader with a proven track record of developing strategy from the ground up along with exceptional partner/customer relationship management skills at the most Senior Levels of the organization (C suite). The role will develop recommendations on how to accelerate our Partner strategy across Build, Sell and Deliver with partner models for Services. This role will also be actively engaging with Strategic Advisory partners paving new ground for the way Microsoft works with these players. The ability to hold others accountable and demonstrate impact and influence across the most senior leaders of Microsoft and our Partner Channel Leaders while maintaining what is the best experience for our customer are critical success factors for the role.


  • Strategy Development & Evolution: Combine your deep knowledge of the System Integrator, Advisory and ISV business models with Microsoft expertise to create a multi-year strategy, inclusive of account engagement, partner plans, business development, in partnership with Engineering, Product Marketing, Consulting, Customer Success, Partner teams and other organizations.

  • This partner business plan will contemplate how to grow Microsoft’s share across Strategic Partners with a focus on the customer adoption and consumption of Microsoft and Partner Industry/horizontal solutions.

  • Rally the ecosystem: Further the one Microsoft Partner with energy and clarity around anchor partners

  • Deliver thought leadership globally: Represent Microsoft at key industry events, Microsoft external events such as Microsoft Inspire and at the Executive Briefing Center. Author blogs, white papers, etc. leverage social media and networks to promote MSFT’s leadership in the industry.

  • Lead Change Management Efforts: Partner with Partner team leaders and the broader Enterprise Commercial to align compensation efforts and land strategy which positively impact partner and Microsoft Consulting Services Outcomes.

  • Be an active and vocal member of the leadership team to define and drive internal change management efforts, including prioritizing and implementing new solutions, collaboratively establishing strategy, driving sales and partner ecosystem scale, and engaging with other key leaders to deeply embed industry plans; inclusive of Marketing to land the business value of Microsoft priorities and technology portfolio at executive client touch points, strengthening Microsoft’s role as a trusted advisor.

  • Control and Monitor Results: Analyze market share gains, sales outcomes, customer feedback and other key metrics to assess health and progress of the partner strategy and its ability to drive sustainable revenue and consumption growth.


The ideal candidate should have:

  • 10+ years Channel Development, Professional Services and Enterprise Sales Experience (Global Accounts)

  • Understanding of the Global System Integrator, Advisory and Independent Software Advisors Business Models, sales channels and industry

  • Ability to build strategic relationships and partnering with senior account executives at the CxO level

  • Track record of sales delivery and execution through partner/customer obsession and ability to drive long-term sustainable sales growth with partners.

  • Channel management with proven business operational excellence and sales results through joint business planning, landing channel strategies, account management, and performance monitoring.

  • Strong delivery of quarterly and annual account budgeted revenue and key scorecard metrics


  • Entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking that can identify and execute business opportunities.

  • Holds high standards for performance and compliance.

  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups and connect with diverse audiences.

  • Able to be an effective PR spokesperson representing Microsoft with the ability to effectively articulate a clear and comprehensive Partner Strategy.

  • Thought influential leader, risk-taker, and lifelong learner, digital and social influencer in the market.


  • University/college degree required

  • Professional sales, negotiations training and/or experience.
