The primary function of the Business Travel Sales Manager is to provide dedicated proactive account management support in the Business Travel Segment. The Business Travel Manager will maintain relationships with all of the accounts' Business Travel buyers and intermediaries and interact with Marriott sales to ensure total account coverage.
The Business Travel Sales Manager will be responsible for uncovering potential growth for accounts with proactive strategies; coordinate and execute the annual RFP program; implement business travel initiatives; facilitate intermediary promotional and educational activities; and manage the property's business travel efforts with support from the Director of Sales.
The position is available to both part-time and full-time candidates. The Sheraton Commander Hotel will consider all applications and flex to accommodate the preferred candidate.
Provide proactive account management with the primary focus on the business travel segment
Lead the development and implementation of business travel initiatives to grow spend share
Develop strong customer relationships through frequent communication and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction
Plan site inspections, client entertainment and sales trips
Review account production on a monthly basis to identify business opportunities
Coordinate strategy on courtesy rates
Proactively partner with designated travel agencies, internal agencies, and account to ensure rate offer accuracy and availability
Provide project management oversight on the implementation of account-related initiatives to include Account Recognition; Company of the Month; Business review presentations
Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish assigned responsibilities
Submit account plans, reports, data requests in a timely and accurate manner
Achieve and exceed goals including performance goals, revenue/room night goals, team goals, etc.
Manage time efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
Provide sales program/event leadership, reporting, and general administrative duties as needed
Attend hotel and industry related functions, as well as community events
Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude toward all hotel departments and maintain communication with all co-workers for the best overall performance of the hotel
Perform other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs
