EVENT CONTENT PRODUCER, MIT Technology Review (TR), to support TR’s rapidly growing events business by supporting its increasing lineup of world-class in-person and online events ( . Complementing the content generated from one of the world’s most respected technology media companies, these events and conferences are premium event experiences. Will manage the program development and speaker selection process for on-site and online events, including topic selection and identifying speaker candidates; work with event speakers, including invitations, communications, briefing coordination, and content preparation; assist in designing session formats; write compelling session abstracts, segment descriptions, and promotional copy; deliver production assets, including show flow, master show script, and presentation deck; manage day-of event production in conjunction with the production team; and assist with market research on conference topics/themes to ensure relevance and timeliness of content.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S.; three years’ event programming experience, preferably within the technology space; understanding of the competitive event landscape; understanding of and ability to tailor event delivery for in-person and online events that will satisfy a demanding, intelligent, technology-savvy, and highly literate audience; desire to consistently enhance events and bring new ideas, strategic and executional; excellent writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills; and proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint), team collaboration tools (e.g., Slack and Zoom), Adobe Premiere Pro, StreamYard, and Audacity. Must be able to manage sensitive and deadline-driven projects and the multiple simultaneous tasks and schedules necessary for the coordinated and effective live production or broadcast of events; and manage relationships with high-profile event speakers and interact effectively with a range of clients and stakeholders, including leaders in business/government/academia.
