EMAIL MARKETING ASSOCIATE, edX-Marketing Team, to be responsible for developing and executing email marketing strategies and programs to increase learner enrollment and engagement. Will drive execution of customer relationship marketing efforts, report on success, and help improve the future performance of these efforts; and own the production and execution of newsletter and automated email marketing campaigns and the analysis of all campaigns. Responsibilities include acting as the subject matter expert at edX for the email marketing channel, contributing this expertise throughout the organization; producing and deploying email marketing campaigns to engage, retain, and convert learners; collaborating with internal teams (Creative, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Educational Services) to drive email marketing capabilities and results; creating and deploying emails via edX’s ESP (email service provider); optimizing campaigns via A/B and other testing methodologies; and tracking performance and reporting on results that will drive insight into all programs.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience with the development and execution of email campaigns and with an enterprise-level ESP (e.g., Sailthru, Responsys, etc.); strong knowledge of HTML and CSS for email design, manipulation, QA, and debugging; knowledge of writing SQL queries; expertise in email segmentation; solid understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics; proficiency with email marketing and marketing automation technology; high-level analytical skills and ability to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization; and excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working with APIs, reading JSON files, and writing JavaScript and/or Zephyr code desirable; as is knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Job #15819-5
