Documentation Control Specialist, Cambridge, MA

In this role, you have the opportunity to manage document reviews, approvals and archival for quality, while assisting with Project Management activities to ensure that our customers and patience receive the quality Philips is known for.

You are responsible for (but not limited to)

  • Interfacing with multiple roles in an engineering department to ensure document management activities occur in a timely fashion

  • Coordinating formal review and approval of engineering document deliverables (documents, drawings, user materials, etc.)

  • Managing document updates and revisions including impact analysis

  • Creating and managing Design History Files for products to be released under oversight by regulatory agencies around the world

  • Ensuring overall documentation quality through proofreading grammar, format, consistency and ensuring that required content is present

  • Providing assistance to project management team as needed You are a part of a team in the Connected Sensing / Wearables Engineering group.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Technical Training in Document Control and Technical Writing

  • 3+ Years of Experience in a Similar Regulated Environment (e.g. Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals, etc.)

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills

  • Strong Time Management and Prioritization Skills

  • Working knowledge of technical and engineering concepts and working methodologies
