DIRECTOR OF GROWTH MARKETING, MIT Technology Review (MITTR)-Marketing, to drive audience acquisition strategies across paid and unpaid tactics and play an integral part in broadening the subscriber base and corporate brand as part of a fast-moving, data-driven group. Will be responsible for driving audience growth strategy and managing a motivated growth marketing manager in the quest of ROI-centric paid acquisition and audience development.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: B.A./B.S. in marketing, marketing communications, or related field; at least five years’ experience with a website, online marketing agency, audience development agency, or media or publishing organization; thorough understanding of online business models and strategies; proven track record of successfully delivering sustainable growth of new and loyal audiences who deeply engage with content; ability to nurture audiences with cohesive strategies that drive subscription growth and reader engagement consistent with MITTR brand; proficiency with direct response principles and practices; understanding of how social media is evolving for different audience segments, specifically hands-on experience optimizing campaigns in-platform; knowledge of and experience with media buying models (i.e., CAC, CPL, CPC, LTV); experience with audience growth partnerships, affiliates, distribution platforms, and/or other referral-based marketing relationships; strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and provide action-oriented insights; hands-on experience managing paid media audience acquisition programs; fluency with Google Analytics and similar web reporting tools; and interest in experimenting with new platforms and ability to pivot quickly and implement new processes quickly and accurately.
