About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing and driving the current product portfolio and future product pipeline. You will mine a deep understanding of the unmet product and service needs for both patients and healthcare professionals (HCPs), working closely with R&D, Sales & Marketing and Operations to translate these insights into a comprehensive and compelling portfolio, and gaining widespread alignment and resource allocation through strong business cases for profitable growth.

Your Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define the future innovation pipeline through a deep understanding of global market and competitive dynamics as well as translating the unmet needs of key stakeholders into product and service features and benefits. Drive a strong growth mindset to product development

  • Lead work to sustain and or rationalize current portfolio based on a strong understanding of operational and financial implications and fit with future products in our portfolio

  • Maintain strong partnerships with R&D as well as regional sales and marketing to ensure knowledgeable input from global stakeholders to guide product development efforts

  • Work closely with Operations and Finance to understand capex and gross margin implications to portfolio decisions

  • Define Clinical pathways needed to differentiate products with strong messaging to both HCPs and patient and partner with internal/external stakeholders to execute plan for current and future products

  • Manage market research activities including KOL, HCP and patient voice of customer work to validate product innovation

  • Review and assess acquisition and business development opportunities on behalf of Global Marketing

  • Widely communicate the portfolio strategy to key stakeholders across functions

  • Coordinate the pricing strategy for new product launches

  • Drive effective internal communication and a coherent approach to customers at all levels

  • Ensure ethics and compliance and good corporate practices, know when to highlight issues and to trigger training. Work with legal and regulatory to ensure local compliance

  • Build a KPI report that is refreshed each month – track sales results and highlights issues to VP

  • Help create the templates and drives internal reports such as Franchise deep dives and monthly updates

  • Internal: R&D, Supply Chain, RA/QA, Local Sales & Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing

  • External: Patients, Nurses, Doctors

Travel Requirements: 25% of the time

About You:

As a proven marketing leader with deep experience in portfolio building across global markets, you excel in understanding the unmet needs in the market and driving creation of innovative products that solve these needs. You are able to use influence and foster collaboration to ensure stakeholder and cross functional alignment. With your excellent communication skills across a variety of stakeholder levels, you have the proven ability to influence globally and cross-functionally and possess strong experience in driving a culture of execution excellence. You understand how to optimize portfolios to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of marketing experience to include strategic marketing, managing product portfolios/product development

  • Experience leading Voice of the Customer research from key stakeholders

  • Financial acumen to understand gross margin and CapEx tradeoffs and impact on profitability

  • Technical capability to create meaningful target product profiles for R&D

  • Pharmaceutical and/or MedTech industry/product knowledge preferred

  • Previous experience in the Ostomy Care market is desired, but not required
