SUMMARY:

The Director Business Operations and Planning- Dermatology & Respiratory is responsible for overseeing the execution and delivery of all Business Operations (BOS) in the Business Unit including Market Insights, Forecasting, Business Analytics, Training, Launch Management, and Field Support activities. The goal of the role is to be a strategic partner that identifies opportunities and innovative approaches to accelerate brand and overall BU performance.

This Director will also work in close collaboration with US Business Unit leadership team (General Manager (GM), Marketing Heads, Sales Head) and BOS stakeholders to support the development and execution of a strategic roadmap, focusing on the key initiatives of the brand plan and identifying approaches for enhancing brand performance. The successful candidate will align and collaborate with all BOS therapeutic area functions to ensure excellence in execution of BOS deliverables while identifying business efficiencies and developing innovative solutions to address market, industry, and brand opportunities.

The Director Business Operations and Planning-Dupixent will report to the Vice President/Head of Business Operations for Sanofi Genzyme with strong accountability to the Business Unit General Manager and their Leadership Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall accountability to set the strategy, vision and establish direction for the prioritization and execution of Business Operations objectives.

  • Manage the Quarterly Business Review process for Business Operations activities. Ensure clear, measurable goals are established, understood and executed against by each functional resource supporting the brand.

  • Partner and collaborate with BOS Functional Leaders during budget, forecast and strategic plan submissions for Business Operations and the Business Unit as it pertains to Business Operations activities. Ensure all allocations are reviewed for accuracy.

  • Participate in Business Unit Leadership meetings, providing Insight and Operational expertise.

  • Create opportunities for efficiencies in brand performance through process improvements, vendor leverage and data analysis, partnering with the brand to implement solutions and track ROI.

  • Implement the framework and processes to maintain and manage service level agreements with our internal and external key partners.

  • Maintain the appropriate level of experienced resources to support the brand operations as well as the ongoing portfolio of business and technology driven projects and programs.

  • Integrating functionally aligned resources within Business Operations under a Therapeutic Area focused team and aligning to a common framework and set of guiding principles.

  • Support the Vice President / Head of Business Operations in strategy development, execution of organizational plans, proactive preparation of management reports.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in similar roles, cross-business unit to ensure best practice sharing, drive consistency and efficiencies, and effective leverage of support teams.

  • In select projects the BOP role will be a liaison with other groups such as ITS BP, Finance BP, Trade & V&A, and Patient Services when there is no clear-cut contact within BOS or when a project spans BOS functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12+ years of experience in Biotechnology or Pharmaceuticals

  • Previous experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated leadership ability to drive change within an organization, cultivating support and maximizing contribution from team members

  • Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred

  • Experience leading without authority in a matrix environment

  • Collaboration, conceptual and innovation skills

  • Facilitation and presentation skills

  • Impact and influence competencies

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent Project/Program management capabilities
