Strategy:
Evaluate existing content, using techniques such as content inventories and gap analyses
Develop communications strategy and content to meet internal and external clients’ needs
Provide strategic counsel to faculty and staff on presentations / webinars, video content, interviews,
Specifically driving work with the Labs’ program teams to develop digital content for their work

Oversee all aspects of AL website including:
Responsible for the daily management, maintenance, and improvement of the Ariadne Labs’ portfolio of websites, currently at seven (7) properties
Plan, coordinate and execute all site content updates, designs and functionalities to present the organizations evolving initiatives and innovations
Work with departments and teams throughout the organization to meet front-end development needs, including scoping and executing on projects
Develop SEO strategy and execution, including content updates, copy, and content/resources, to maintain strong rankings among leading search engines
Project Management:
Manages the department’s budget and expenses
Liaising with programmatic teams to scope, budget, plan projects
Contracting with vendors, contractors, and partners
Additional Responsibilities:
Plans, designs and develops media with multiple stakeholders to ensure consistency with mission and image
Digital content organization, including photography, video assets, graphic content, and others as applicable
Video development, including storyboarding, editing, managing vendor relationships
Initiates new projects and oversees design & implementation
Optimize text, audio, and video content and social media channels with a focus on optimal content placement
Develop common taxonomies and vocabularies, to be shared across websites
Identify search optimization best practices for digital portals and tools
Contribute digital content best practices to the Ariadne Labs identity guidelines;
Ensure standardization among department print and digital channels; develop standards and provide direction to clients
Evaluates customer experience and communicates improvements to user channels based on feedback and usability analysis
Use HTML/CSS, images, video, audio, blogging, email, and social media, and comfort learning and working with new technologies
Works with all members of the community on a wide range of communications needs in both print and electronic media, including digital media.
Oversees the creative and strategic process of print and digital communications
Coordinates with the Labs’ program teams to develop digital content for their work and builds the organization's reputation within the field
Manages development of new product offerings for current and prospective clients
Other duties as assigned

Using innovative digital solutions, the Digital Strategist II will work to communicate and accelerate Ariadne Labs’ work to improve healthcare outcomes. The Digital Strategist II oversees the design and implementation of our work across all digital channels. These channels include a portfolio of websites, social media channels, video channels, educational platforms, and email channels. Together with the Communications team, this person will work to build the organization's reputation within the field.
The person hired for this position would report to the Director of Communications and work closely with staff and faculty across the Lab, including partnering with program teams on specific campaigns and to support the broader goals of the organization. The person will manage the Graphic Designer and work closely with the team’s content producers. Within this job, the incumbent normally performs regular assignments using own judgment and following department / university policy, while keeping supervisor informed as necessary. Receives general guidance on new projects as to methods, procedures and desired end results. The incumbent has discretion to make decisions within the scope of their responsibilities. Complex assignments are usually reviewed upon completion.
The strategist will also manage people and policies, allocates personnel and resources for given projects, full hire/fire authority, has primary responsibility for performance management and career development of employees, sets policy/standards within an area.
