Additional Information:All offers to be made by HLS Human Resources.Department:Alumni Affairs & DevelopmentPre-Employment Screening:Education, IdentitySchedule:35h per week; Monday - Friday 9am-5pm; Must have the willingness and ability to do occasional travel and work evenings and weekends when events are taking place.Job Function:Alumni Affairs and Development Duties & Responsibilities:Reports directly to the Director of Prospect Development and is chiefly responsible for identifying new major gift ($250K) and leadership-level ($10K+) annual fund donors. Identifies and completes projects that are designed to identify new prospects, re-evaluate known prospects, and build the pipeline of potential donors, either working alone or in collaboration with teammates. Coordinates presentation of new prospects to fundraisers in an effort to move people from pipeline to portfolio. Also responsible for conducting research on prospects and managing special projects as needed.
Identify, design, document, and execute annual projects that will identify potential new major gift and leadership donors for the School
Proactively and independently identify and assess potential donors
Conduct analysis of HLS constituent data to support prospecting and prospect development
Analyze accumulated data to assess individual capacity and make direct connections between School priorities and prospects’ giving interests based on available data
Monitor publications and other sources to identify prospects
Responsible for research on prospects being targeted by the School for significant support
Find and analyze biographical, professional, philanthropic, and financial information on prospects and donors
Prepare up-to-date research briefings on prospects for development staff, senior faculty, and administrators
Provide recommendations to development officers on newly identified prospects, especially at the major gift-level ($250K+ capacity)
Serve as point of contact for all vendors being used by Research team and responsible for coordinating ongoing training to ensure resources are optimized
Manage special requests and projects as needed
Performs other duties as necessary
