Additional Information:This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA-based campus 3 days per week. Specific days and schedules will be determined between you and your manager.

Program Support

  • Work closely with members of the MBA & Doctoral Leadership team on scheduling and projects related to department-wide efforts or special initiatives

  • Organize logistics for MBA & Doctoral events that help promote morale and team efforts, such as cleaning days, new hire lunches, retreats, all-staff meetings etc.

  • Part of the team managing the MBA & Doctoral email inbox, responding to or triaging messages as appropriate Support operational efforts, serving as a key point person to HBS Operations for general building maintenance or tracking

  • Manage the morale budget under the direction of the Business Manager; coordinate related staff relations efforts such as recognition of milestones, celebratory moments, or outreach in difficult times

  • Manage staff arrivals, departures, and moves, partnering with HBS IT and Operations; maintain related documentation such as directories, organizational charts, listservs, and the staff handbook

  • Solicit and compile weekly MBA & Doctoral staff newsletter; review data analytics and recommend improvements for the staff communication strategy

  • Order office and kitchen supplies, as needed

Diversity & Inclusion Programming

  • Partner with the Director, D&I on program planning and execution; support and manage related logistics

  • Work closely with the Diversity & Inclusion student leaders, partnering with the Director to provide support to student organizations

  • Help research and prepare reports that support the department goals to envision and implement a diversity and inclusion roadmap for the MBA and Doctoral student experience

  • Attend the joint student-faculty-staff Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council, taking notes and serving as a resource to the Director

Assist Executive Director

  • Manage calendar and schedule for Executive Director (key priority for this role)

  • Prepare/assist with PowerPoint presentations and general communications

  • Coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements

Other

  • Coordinate MBA Program Administration team activities (e.g., weekly meeting invitations and agendas, holiday events/lunches)

  • Assist the MBA Communications & Marketing team with projects and logistics

  • Participate as an active member of the staff Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging committee

  • Responsible for other duties as assigned

Reporting to the Director for Community Standards & Administration and supporting both the Executive Director and the Director, Diversity & Inclusion, this role will provide support on critical projects and program-wide initiatives. In this role, you will facilitate general business management needs, support program communications, and manage event logistics. This role is part of the Program Administration team that supports other groups within MBA so you will gain exposure to finance, HR, data, technology, and communications efforts.
