Sanofi Group Data Management Director in Cambridge, Massachusetts


This role is focused on the effective use of data by the business – with a specific area of emphasis on data used by sales operations and other teams using demand/sales crediting data.

  • Ensure all data stakeholders have the optimal data foundation to enable operational excellence and insight generation.

  • Ensure that the information-dependent capabilities/processes of the business unit are well understood by the Data Management team.

  • Ensure the Data Management deliverables to the business unit are well managed and understood by our stakeholders.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain and update the business’s information requirements quarterly to ensure that the Data Management activities are aligned to the information-related needs of the business.

  • Maintain and manage the business’s Demand / Sales Crediting Data Model, including data assets, metadata, business rules, data integration plan, and contracts.

  • Monitor and report data quality, intervene when necessary with data sources, and communicate impacts and mitigation plans to stakeholders.

  • Ensure stakeholder effectiveness through effective training, communications and engagement.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting.

  • Manage the business’s data budget.

  • Coordinate launch preparedness efforts (i.e. go-to-market workstreams)

  • Participate in the Data Strategy Working Group for assigned brands.

Competencies / Skills / Experiences:

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing data sources.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in a stakeholder function (market research, field operations, etc.); understands how data is applied in a pharmaceuticals commercial operations context.

  • Understands the basic principles of data management and pharmaceutical sales data processing.

  • Understands the basic principles of data governance and date stewardship (data quality).

  • 5-7 years’ experience in a position that manages and/or significantly uses pharmaceutical sales and marketing data sources.
