The Education Partner Lead role is a new role for the Edu Global Customer Success Team. We have big aspirations for defining specific programs across Education Field, Sales, Engineering and Product teams to build on the foundations several teams have started and find specific ways to engage, extend and understand our Edu Partner’s needs to ensure Microsoft is meeting and exceeding expectations. This role is the next pivotal step in defining the strategy, working across teams to grow alignment and buyin, and leading efforts by example through experience and diving in to design, create, build, and deliver quality across programs. Who are you working with? The Education Team at Microsoft is a group of high talented, passionate, and eager program managers, project and product managers, engineers, architects, and brings a focused approach to deliver Microsoft value across all of the Education spectrum. We have resources, opportunity, and above all phenomenal customers across K12 and Higher Education as well as working hand-in-hand with our Partners, EdTech Providers (ISVs), and System Integrators to build, deploy, and extend the Education Data Platform, a solution that will change the landscape of how education data is managed, captured, stored, shared, and secured. Responsibilities

  • Take an active leadership role in the Education Customer Success team serving as lead of the Customer Success Team’s key Education Partner Strategy, Programs and Projects.

  • Coordinate alignment and key deliverables for innovative programs, helping other teams deliver on their key objectives and defining multiyear strategy to further the Microsoft embrace of our Partners.

  • Join a robust and empowered team to challenge, grow, and evolve the existing Edu Partner and Customer facing implementations, deployments, trainings, and support capabilities to create Raving Fans across a diverse, global customer base.

  • Manage, monitor, and encourage/engage with peers and team members accountable for generating performance based goals including delivery, satisfaction, and internal.

  • Design, build, and collaborate on global programs including certifications for Education Partners to increase our ability to scale, improve levels of service and satisfaction across our customer base.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in Education in profession, practice, EdTech, large and small organizations

  • 5+ years' experience in serving, developing and growing Partnership ecosystems or serving Partners as a primary way to extend services including professional services, consulting, systems integration, systems engineering and architecture, Field and Sales initiatives.

  • 3+ years' experience in leading large scale programs especially those with significant complexity and matrixed based organizations

  • Understand the intricacies of the Microsoft Partner ecosystem, systems, teams, processes, and challenges

  • Working knowledge of Education market analysis, competitive tear-downs and customer research to validate project priorities and direction.

  • Preferable to have breadth experience with other educational solutions such as Education data solutions, LMS, SIS, SMS, etc.

  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, to do what’s right for the customer, partner and for the organization (i.e. think through workarounds, evaluate risk of various deployment options, etc.)

  • Demonstrated technical thought leaderhip in customer facing situations
