Picture Yourself at Pega:
As our global Creative Director, you’ll set the vision for the copy and design teams, articulate it with passion, and guide the team toward its implementation. You are the perfect mix of a strong conceptual creative and an operational powerhouse. You will lead and support the team to create both idea-driven campaigns and events, as well as oversee higher velocity asset production.
You’ll closely align with the Head of Brand, Creative, and Content to define and shape the Pega brand as we build broad awareness and accelerate our growth globally. And you’ll collaborate with ease with marketing and product partners to produce world-class campaigns that drive engagement and sales.
Your day-to-day will require a variety of working models, including leading our in-house team; directing agencies, and freelancers; but also rolling up your sleeves to concept, and assist in executing deliverables. The role demands strong conceptual thinking, flawless execution, bold innovation, operational excellence, optimism, and a strong spirit for partnership.
What You'll Do at Pega:
Provide clear direction to copywriters and designers; give creatives solid, understandable advice about which areas to explore, how to spend their energy, and how to take their work where it needs to be. Know when to push the envelope, raising the bar for creative work and questioning whether “the way it’s always been done” is the right way.
Inspire and provide creative input to the video and content teams to ensure campaign and program alignment and elevate storytelling.
Partner closely with the Director of Brand to assess gaps and opportunities for the brand to evolve. Champion brand standards across the team and around the company – globally.
Identify talent gaps and underperformers; propose org changes to address both.
Encourage collaboration and sharing between disparate disciplines, helping people align around an idea.
Develop solutions in the form of creative systems that can scale globally, avoiding solutions that require designing every single instance that populates the system.
Partner with stakeholders to understand results, communicate them to the team, and build roadmaps to achieve consistent performance.
Provide training to external stakeholders on how to effectively align creative companywide to our brand standards and visual guidelines.
Who You Are:
You have a breadth of creative experience and a world-class portfolio of work.
You’re well versed in both offline and online creative executions. You go deep in advertising, events, email, social, and print. You can concept big ideas, but you’re also comfortable overseeing production. And you have a basic understanding of CMS, web design systems, and UX/UI.
You see the bigger picture— not just team minded (creative), but group minded (marketing). You balance creativity with business strategy, and deliver on both.
You excel at people management and are deeply invested in the team’s personal and professional development. You’re kind and positive, but aren’t afraid to deliver critical feedback and have tough conversations.
You have a learner mindset: Acknowledging what you don’t know and keeping an open mind to how to build the right knowledge. Alternatively, you know how to bring in the best brains to fill in your own gaps of knowledge. You don’t try to go it alone.
What You've Accomplished:
12+ years of experience and a background in B2B is a must. Some in-house experience preferred.
You’re a relationship-driven leader, you encourage collaboration and sharing between cross-functional partners, acting as “translator” to help people align around an idea.
You’re comfortable with executive-level interaction, representing work and creative perspective to people who run the business.
