BlueRock further enhances its cell biology platform via process development capabilities to engineer cell with additional function. We have an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned and industry recognized Corporate Communications and Investor Relations professional to own two-way communication between BlueRock Therapeutics, the financial community, the media, and other key internal and external stakeholders. This position may be based in either Cambridge, MA or New York City, NY.

Essential Functions and Duties:

Responsible for all aspects of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, including leading the development and dissemination of BlueRock’s brand to internal and external stakeholders. With the CEO and CFO, this person will set BlueRock’s communications strategy, develop the brand, positioning and core messages. Key to the job will be forming and executing company’s investor relations program; helping shape and effectively communicate the company’s strategic direction; and establishing and maintaining the company’s relationship with key analysts and the investment community Oversee and manage the strategic focus and content development for BlueRock’s stakeholders both externally and internally), including investor presentations, key messages, conference call scripts, press releases and briefing information, management scripts and Q&A for quarterly earnings calls, materials for Board of Directors, and other disclosure-related documents, publication planning, scientific meetings, intranet/internet content and all-hands meetings Plan and ensure execution of key investor events and communications, including road shows, periodic investor days, as well as drafting of press releases, quarterly earnings releases and other key communications and announcements; prepare research, scripts and supporting information/Q&A, and conference call materials Work closely with executive management and General Counsel to organize Annual Stockholder Meeting, preparing Proxy Statement and ascertaining/soliciting shareholder votes in compliance with the principal governance research, proxy analysis and vote-management services (i.e. ISS and Glass Lewis) Proactively partner with investors to ensure BlueRock’s senior team is actively listening to and transparent with shareholders & analysts as a component of our ongoing organizational plan to drive long-term shareholder value In partnership with other departments, monitor competitor, regulatory, and broader external environment to understand potential impact on BlueRock’s business; provide counsel to senior team on possible future actions Ensure overall planning and execution of external communications are timely, accurate, and effective to include the develop all investor relations-related communications such as investor presentations and materials and maintenance of the Investor Relations website and Corporate Presentation Member of BlueRock Disclosure Committee; helps ensure culture of compliance with IR function and across BlueRock, in partnership with Legal, Regulatory, and Finance Develop and drive Corporate Communications in partnership with CEO, CFO/CBO and external firms on PR strategy, communications, media coverage, positioning, branding and marketing

Requirements

Skills and Experience:

10+ years’ experience with 7+ years of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at a public biotechnology/specialty pharma company or in the investment community BA/BS in science (preferred), finance, business or communications. MBA desired. Strong scientific acumen required In-depth knowledge of the financial and investment markets Familiarity with global business a plus Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain relationships with company executives, investors, analysts, and the media Strategic, external perspective – with a proven ability to drive excellence Actively drives strong teamwork and collaboration with an enterprise-wide perspective Ability to balance proactive/planning with reactive elements of the position Understands and values importance of compliance Excellent written and oral communication skills Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally 20-25%
