    Job Description

CLINICAL RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST, Center for Clinical and Translational Research (CCTR) (https://cctr.mit.edu/) , to assist with the implementation of projects through the thoughtful deployment of hardware and software. Will have two main responsibilities--supporting CCTR users by ensuring the safe and proper operation of technology in human subject clinical research and assist with managing the hardware and software technology, including general maintenance, updating standard operating procedures, tracking usage, and communicating with manufacturers. Will perform other duties as assigned. CCTR’s mission is to facilitate clinical research and education at MIT and with external partners and the Boston ecosystem by providing technical support and guidance for an array of cutting-edge technologies that enable clinical research and education projects and experiences.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in related field; two years’ related experience; interest in and desire to learn all facets of technology used in human research; experience with imaging, motion capture, and other instrumentation technologies as applied to teaching and research for biomechanics, robotics, or other applications; strong communication skills; ability to create documentation in a variety of media (e.g., written, spoken, video, and digital), communicate technical information to collaborators from other disciplines, and collaborate in a clinical research environment with cross-functional teams from different disciplines; knowledge of/willingness to learn various digital platforms, 3D modeling software, and related tools; and ability to work in and support hybrid Window and Macintosh environments. Must obtain and maintain human research training (CITI-human research training) and be willing to be trained and certified in CPR or BLS. PREFERRED: experience in human subject clinical research and experience working with gait analysis, wearable sensors, spatial sound fields, simulators, and other leading-edge technologies.
