CLIENT RELATIONS MANAGER, Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) Alliances, to be responsible for client relationship management with member companies within CSAIL Alliances and related research initiatives. Responsibilities include managing membership retention activities and renewals for portfolio of companies; managing client services and identifying potential new benefits for enhanced member engagement; developing thorough understanding of major business and technology issues facing member companies and identifying and bringing developments/opportunities of potential value to their attention; maintaining thorough knowledge of CSAIL principal investigators’ research activities and matching them to needs of the member companies; ensuring activities/communications/events/contacts are captured in Salesforce database; conducing new member processing and orientation; collaborating on Alliance events; and representing Alliances at meetings. Will also manage/supervise client relations coordinators; manage day-to-day operations; attend industry functions; collaborate on communications, lab visits, networking events, etc.; and handle other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in business or related area; five years’ experience working in membership development, client relations, or professional development; experience managing client relations/development-focused staff; ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, across all levels; project/program management experience; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; diplomacy, good judgment, and tact in all communication; discretion with confidential issues/information; proven written and verbal communication skills; effective business writing and oral presentation proficiency; ability to work independently, prioritize workload, deliver high quality results, and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and competing demands; strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; initiative and ability to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other programs/tools; and meticulous attention to detail.
