Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Business Development Marketing Manager to partner with internal stakeholders in the pursuit of winning new business for our high threshold Occupier clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading proposals and pitches, while providing strategic and creative strategies for Fortune 500 companies including writing and design deliverables. This candidate will work closely with our Client Solution team and Occupier brokers defining and managing the business development, marketing, and client relations strategy for this region while continuing to improve our overall team’s proposal and pitch creation process.

The candidate will be responsible for leading all facets of pursuit development including: sourcing and developing all content and messaging, creating innovative and unique themes and design elements, ensuring security and integrity of all documentation, coordinating internal flow and review of all pursuit inputs, schedules, activities with cross functional business areas, and directing submission of the final product to the client.

This high-visibility position calls for a confident, strategic, and creative marketing professional with excellent writing, project management, analytical, collaboration and people skills. The preferred candidate is self-directed and will exude conviction and poise in a deadline-driven environment. Ideal candidate would have previous proposal development experience and capacity to single-handedly run multiple projects simultaneously. Commercial real estate or architectural firm experience a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Leads overall content and strategy on proposal and presentations for Occupier pursuits globally, with a heavy emphasis on writing and content coordination.

Crafts creative messaging and themes around the win strategies to tell a unique story in our pursuit material to our clients

Devises win strategies for new business pursuits with client solutions partner. Uses the creative themes to showcase an overall story narrative on all pursuits.

Researches and resolves complex issues pertaining to RFP responses, while articulating CBRE’s capabilities and value proposition in accordance with client needs.

Serves as the liaison with subject matter experts across the platform to ensure the appropriate data and content is utilized effectively.

Develops client-specific presentation materials while conducting extensive due diligence on the client’s background, company culture and brand to ensure a customized approach for every pursuit

Partners with graphic to develop client-specific and unique design approaches through client branding, messaging, and advanced content creation platforms

Organizes and manages team meetings interfacing with leadership and sales professionals, managing the entire process, pursuit team, deliverables, and deadline

Leads conference calls and meetings interfacing with leadership and sales professionals, managing the process, materials, and deadlines

Strong ability to write clearly, concisely, and effectively in a creative manner. Researches and resolves complex issues pertaining to RFP responses

Comfortable with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), PowerPoint and Word to create and design marketing and presentation materials

Supervisory Responsibilities

No formal supervisory of people, however, serves as lead on business development projects, coordinating all tasks, content and ensuring deadlines are met. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within business unit and/or project. Works closely with graphic design team to provide art and content direction.

Salary Range: $80-90K

Additional Compensation: up to a 10% bonus

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

B.A. or B.S. and/or higher degree and 7+ years of relevant experience

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Requires knowledge of all software used by personnel in the department
