Digital Science Business Development Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a smart, strategic, high-energy, and passionate person who will contribute to our growing sales force by taking on academic (lab/department) and enterprise sales opportunities and producing Marketing/Sales Qualified leads for our sales team. As a Business Development Manager at ReadCube you will be a part of a team focused on helping enterprise research organizations improve how their researchers discover, access, read, collaborate and track the scholarly research papers that fuel tomorrow’s innovations.

What we need you to do:

  • Educate, nurture and develop leads through inbound or outbound prospecting via phone calls, emails, events and campaigns.

  • Work collaboratively with Sr. Sales colleagues to manage and close enterprise sales opportunities

  • Meet and exceed annual quota in net new sales revenue for the target segment.

  • Work with ReadCube sales and marketing representatives to create effective and measurable outbound sales messaging that underscores and emphasizes the ReadCube Papers value proposition.

  • Identify and develop an in-depth understanding of each lead generation process, prospect touch-points and handoff to an Account Executive.

  • Use Salesforce.com to track activity and update account/contact information.

  • Facilitate marketing campaigns by driving attendance to and attending marketing events (webinars, field seminars, trade shows) and proactively follow up on all invitations, registrants, attendees and prospects.

  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing management regarding lead quality and marketing campaign effectiveness.

    What you bring to ReadCube

  • Minimum of 3 year of B2B software inside sales experience

  • Track record of balancing personal sales quota and prospecting targets.

  • Intellectually curious and with keen interest technology.

  • Adaptable, professional, courteous, motivated with a strong work ethic.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions.

  • Exceptional listening skills; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptionally organized and detail oriented

  • Interested in entrepreneurship and technology.

    If would be great if also had experience with academic/scientific software

    College degree is preferred, and degree in a scientific discipline is a plus
