Microsoft Corporation Business Architect, Modern Work Sales Model Transformation in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Microsoft has a unique role to play as customers transition to a Hybrid Work where they will have to adopt a new operating model spanning people, places, and processes. The Modern Work Solution area plays a critical role in defining the GTM that will help customers take advantage of the Modern Work services and devices to transform their organization. We work in close partnership with corporate stakeholders with the goal to ensure that the field has all the tools necessary to be successful in accompanying our customers through that journey. As the Business Architect of Sales Model transformation, you will be responsible in leading the GTM strategy and execution plan for BDM led sales, with a special focus on industry and cross-solution area.
Partnering with colleagues in corporate leadership roles in Engineering, Marketing and Sales, this role will be critical in defining the right field model to accelerate our growth in the Modern Work business and customer adoption of advanced capabilities. You will be a visible advocate for the field and will be counted on to represent the voice of the field and customers across our corporate functions.
Define the GTM strategy for BDM led sales, with a special focus on Industry and cross-solution area
Lead the planning workstream for field and sales model transformation initiatives
Engage and influence corporate and field stakeholders to drive alignment around the plan
Lead steercos with the senior leaders (GM & VP level) of stakeholder organizations to drive resolution of key issues
Represent business and technical needs/feedback in key leadership forums with engineering and business leaders
Support the Monthly Product Review process and own special topics
Assess monthly performance and provide course correction recommendations
Ensure right metrics and KPIs in place to achieve right outcomes for our customers and measure progress over time
7+ years of experience in engineering/GTM Strategy or Sales Strategy roles including experience working directly with senior sales executives and as part of a field sales team
Experience working in Cloud productivity (M365, Google WorkSpace etc...)
Experience building forward-looking performance indicators (strategy, data driven models and outcomes)
Experience incubating and scaling new businesses (products and services)
A track record of delivering complex projects that have measurable results
May have 10-15% International travel
Experience in subsidiaries/areas (emerging/developed countries) preferred
Excellent internal and external communications skills are required (written, verbal/presentation)
The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $157,300 and $236,300.
At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
