Sanofi Group Associate Director, Strategic Planning and Projects PSS Rare Blood Disorders in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Associate Director (AD) PSS Strategic Planning & Projects will report into and work closely with the Head of Rare Blood Disorders PSS, executing critical programs and projects fundamental to the success of the Patient Services organization. The AD will be responsible for several critical projects and programs, including leading the organization and planning for the launch of new products. The AD will have responsibility for the RBD PSS Service Brand across the portfolio of products. This includes working collaboratively with PSS Operations, brand teams and key stakeholders in the creation of a brand vision and strategy, message development and brand evolution/planning. Additionally, the AD will have ownership of several projects critical to the PSS Team, including exploring new service offerings. Working alongside the Head of RBD PSS and the LT, the AD will be responsible for developing and maintaining communications as well as supporting & leading several organizational efforts around culture, development, and team collaboration.

The candidate must be solution-oriented, proactive, operationally savvy, creative, highly organized, a self-starter, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders. This will be a highly visible position interacting with many internal functional groups and external vendors. The position will report to the Head, Rare Blood Disorders (RBD) Patient Support Services and is based in Cambridge, MA.


  • Project & Planning Management – Lead projects as assigned by Head of PSS depending on business needs and strategic priorities for the year

  • RBD PSS Brand – Responsible for the RBD service brand, including strategy and tactical development. Brand planning, execution and collaboration with marketing teams and PSS stakeholders across the portfolio.

  • Lead PSS Launch Readiness - Responsible for Rare Blood Disorders PSS readiness of product launches, ensuring on-time delivery of technology and system updates, patient engagement tactics, process training, product & messaging training.

  • Brand Planning – Work with PSS Head and LT to align on priorities and tactics across the Rare Blood PSS portfolio that complement each brand’s strategic imperatives

  • Department initiatives – Coordinate and co-manage internal initiatives including communications, quarterly meetings, and projects related to the betterment of the team

  • Business Presentations – Support PSS Head & LT in material preparation and core messages for departmental presentations such as the Quarterly meetings, Fast Start meetings, POA meetings, Off-site meetings, LRR meetings etc.

  • Budget - Work closely with LT and finance business partners for preparation and oversight of department budget and head count; supports PSS Head with T1/T2, Strategic Plan and annual budget

  • Ad hoc projects as directed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+years relevant commercial experience in the healthcare industry and/or consulting

  • Strong leadership/management and analytical skills, ability to deliver on project objectives in a timely manner required

  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams without direct authority

  • Excellent writing, excel, power point and organizational skills required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PSS or other commercial specialty experience

  • Highly self-directed; Must be able to proactively and independently work issues and manage projects with minimal direction

  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leaders, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in a matrix environment

  • Previous experience in bio-pharmaceutical commercial role
