Sanofi Group Associate Director Forecasting & Analytics - Global Rare Disease in Cambridge, Massachusetts
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Associate Director, Forecasting & Analytics – Rare Diseases will be responsible for all short- and long-term forecasting activities, for the Rare Diseases portfolio within Sanofi Genzyme. This person will be an integral strategic partner to the Global Rare Diseases commercial leadership team, as a key component to this role will be providing insights on how opportunities/threats may impact performance and to help guide the short- and long-term strategy of the Rare Diseases franchise across multiple indications. This person will also work with the Global Rare Diseases Analytics Lead to support analytics activities. The position will report to the Commercial Excellence Lead – Rare Diseases at Sanofi Genzyme.
Accountabilities
Support creation of objective patient/volume/revenue outlook and work with country forecasters to support accurate forecasts (Budget, F1/F2, LRP, etc.)
Help optimize the Rare Diseases strategy across all indications (Fabry Disease, Gaucher Disease, Pompe Disease, MPS I, MPS II, ASMD) and pipeline indications
Collaborate with brand teams, new product planning, and business development to define and quantify the impact of market opportunities and threats across the Rare Diseases portfolio
Deliver a monthly Forecasting review deck for commercial and finance leadership
Support monthly updates to BUs and leadership – outlook vs. forecast (integrating performance, analytics, market research, CI, etc.)
Provide monthly coordination with Supply Chain – near/long term outlook to help ensure appropriate resources remain available
Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Market Research and regional leadership to ensure information and insights are being cascaded throughout the commercial organizations and supporting functions
Consolidate and summarize data for ad hoc analysis, e.g. ROI analysis on new tactics and spend
Conduct thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy
Collaborate with the Global Analytics Lead to support the creation and tracking of key patient and commercial performance metrics
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within Pharmaceutical Faorecasting/Analytics/Operations, is required
Knowledge of secondary data sources (e.g. IQVIA, specialty pharmacy data, etc.)
Knowledge of US Payer/Heath Insurance environment
Strong proven leadership, analytical and communication skills required
Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, filtering, vlookup and macros)
Ability to self-manage time and to meet deadlines
Possess very strong strategic awareness skill set
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners
Ability to understand and influence decisions of senior management
Detailed and structured thought process
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization
Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and staff
Proactive in nature, actively participates and self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
2+ years of Consulting Experience
Experience in Specialty Care
Experience with analytical programming languages (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python)
