    Job Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, MARKETING COPYWRITING, Sloan School of Management-Office of Communications, to craft distinctive, on-brand messages for all channels that showcase the unique value of Sloan’s work and invite audiences to engage with the school. Will build from existing brand positioning and pillars to develop new messaging for school/programs/offices to keep messaging fresh; write copy for website, brand campaign, and other promotional materials for the school, its academic programs, and other groups; drive brand personality across all work; contribute creative copy ideas to brand projects; collaborate with partners around the school on high-visibility marketing efforts and with partners in academic programs and other offices to understand their marketing goals and advise on messaging; work with director, special projects and executive director to update Sloan’s website homepage; assist in developing a strategic rotation of topics and areas of the school to feature; and lead the development of special homepage programming throughout the year. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; three years’ journalistic, professional writing, or editorial experience; understanding of brand voice and tone; excellent copyediting, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to contribute to a positive, high-energy, inclusive, and collaborative work environment; experience working in a content management system; and attention to deadlines and a track record of on-time delivery. Must be able to translate complex ideas into concise copy and assure that it’s error-free and grammatically clean; infuse voice into copy; write compelling copy at all lengths; and write for a variety of channels, including web, print, and social media outlets. PREFERRED: client management, higher education, and/or other nonprofit experience. Job #23335-7Salary range: $61,850 - 82,700 - 103,550, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity. Generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check.10/19/23
