ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DIGITAL MARKETING, Sloan School of Management, to develop and direct new platforms and techniques that expand Sloan’s reach to a global business leader audience; create and adapt engaging marketing content; and collaborate on managing social media, newsletters, and live online events. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans for expanding content marketing opportunities; creating and managing live online events; writing, editing, and optimizing editorial and marketing content to meet strategic school-wide goals; developing strategy for expanding reach of weekly Thinking Forward newsletter; shaping direction of the Ideas Made To Matter digital strategy by leading expansion efforts on social media and with newsletter offerings for global business leader audience; leading efforts to advance Sloan’s goals and visibility; developing content for paid search and social media marketing campaigns; and performing related duties as assigned. REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, marketing, or related field; at least three years’ related experience, preferably in marketing, communications, or social media management; experience managing digital content and social media for a business, organization, or brand; experience writing and producing digital media content; experience managing live and online events; comprehensive understanding of social media platforms, trends, tools, practices, and measurement; familiarity with content management systems and Adobe Photoshop; strong writing and copyediting skills and knowledge of Associated Press style; strong editorial understanding, with attention to accuracy and creating engaging, meaningful content; ability to exercise good judgment with respect to highly visible communications in an online public space; and support for Sloan’s commitment to producing work that reflects its dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
