ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, COMMUNITY EVENTS AND ENGAGEMENT, MBA PROGRAM, Sloan School of Management, to join a dynamic, innovative, and supportive team and work on designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating cocurricular and extra-curricular programs that promote an inclusive community experience for students in the MBA Program. The position offers exciting opportunities to foster engagement across a remarkably talented and diverse student body. Will manage complex events with between 400-1500 participants, multi-day MBA orientation, and MBA graduation and oversee a wide range of community engagement events; develop and create marketing materials, emails, and social media campaigns that create awareness and increase response rates; develop and maintain fiscally responsible event budgets and manage vendor negotiations; be responsible for all programmatic elements of multiple events and collaborate with offices across MIT Sloan, including the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, MIT Leadership Center, and Office of Student Life; and be assigned one MBA cohort per year (70+ students per class) as a program advisor. Job Requirements
REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree; at least three years of event management and/or program management experience; demonstrated interest in events and student engagement; self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and excellent analyticalproblem-solving, and persuasive communication skills.
