The Area Change Lead in Microsoft United States (MSUS) is a director-level role responsible for managing the team that partners with WW and US Marketing & Operations (M&O) teams on landing their portfolio via strong project plans and change strategies, and by driving new habits that align to the 5C’s (Culture, Consumption, Customer adds, Compete, and Country), Microsoft Leadership Principles and a growth mindset. In addition, this individual will connect regularly with critical stakeholders across a broader ecosystem in Global Sales, Marketing, & Operations (GSMO), Worldwide Commercial Business (WCB), and Marketing & Consumer Business (MCB) to share learnings and contribute to our broader transformation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team of change management professionals to shape and influence successful landing approaches, partnering with our internal Marketing, Operations and Sales stakeholders.

  • Continually improve and grow adoption of our MSUS Landing Framework that drives landing of core role accountability, play execution, continuous feedback.

  • Collaborate across the Area Transformation teams and business partner teams to plan and deploy internal activities, communication and recognition for new ways of working.

  • Coordinate work efforts from different groups, execute programmatically, and effectively drive user adoption for lasting change.

  • Work with teams across the US and worldwide to land transformation activities in the Area; lead the project management and/or change strategy for landing, training, user feedback and reporting of solutions for both marketers and sellers.

  • Systematically drive and monitor progress against transformation drivers to continually evolve and develop learnings and insights on transformation “waves” that land within the field.

  • Gain field sponsorship and form and maintain a community of field champions to drive adoption of the solution and its impact on the business bottom line.

  • Foster and create continuous learning through comprehensive listening mechanisms that help evolve priorities. Share insights while fully respecting company confidentiality requirements and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience project managing large projects and programs

  • 5+ years experience in change management, user adoption, landing and readiness

  • Strong experience managing complex projects and virtual teams

  • Prior people management experience preferred, but not required

  • Superior organizational skills, and the ability to work against aggressive timelines

  • Expert in building project plans, schedules, action items and driving projects with plans

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work on long-term projects with limited direction

  • Strong understanding of the marketing content creation, management and distribution process

  • Strong understanding of user adoption, landing and readiness

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) required and/or experience in relevant fields eg: business, marketing, information technology, operations, finance. Master's degree beneficial.

Location & Travel

  • This position can be based anywhere within the United States

  • Some travel required
