The Apps & Infra Solution Strategy Lead will be responsible for leading the strategy for the portfolio, the skilling and readiness of the seller and delivery communities for all of Azure’s App & Infra globally. The Azure Applications & Infrastructure business is critical to Microsoft’s cloud businesses and app & data consumption growth across the company. You will be asked to shape the organization to lead through a highly competitive growth market, shift dynamically to address business, commercial, market and technical challenges, work across many stakeholders in engineering, marketing, CSU and global sales. We are looking for an innovative thought leader who has a proven track-record of delivering strong business results. The successful candidate will be very comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the customer at the center of all we do.
Setting the strategy and managing the execution for how we select, develop, and land global solutions. consulting SKUs and packages that leverage Azure Cloud services.
Leading, recruiting and retaining a team of high performing business and technical program managers focused on creating and executing high priority solutions.
Contributing to the definition of and supporting the Azure Cloud & AI Leading Edge Delivery Consumption Strategy, aligning with the Commercial organization to drive customer outcomes & influence production-level consumption.
Driving alignment with key stakeholder teams across Microsoft, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Partner and Engineering teams, ensuring we build toward a One Microsoft value proposition for customers.
Leading the Global Azure Application & Infrastructure Business Architecture. Defining the strategy & investment model required to reflect the business goals over a multi-year horizon, creating a global talent approach to skill sellers to deliver value to customers in the language of Azure, building portfolio plans for each growth area and manage the ongoing shifts required to win in the market.
Engaging in business planning for the team and target-setting for the field organization including revenue, consumption, scorecard, taxonomy, etc.
Developing and implementing the strategic plan to drive Value and Innovation through a Consumption-focused Apps & Infra Portfolio Strategy.
Setting and executing the go-to-market strategy for consulting SKUs and horizontal solutions that include the entire lifecycle of solutions from pre-sales through ongoing support and consumption/adoption.
Defining, building, and maintaining a portfolio of Apps & Infra solutions that align with the go-to-market strategy, drive the company success objectives, and deliver customer impact and value.
Defining the value proposition and messaging for strategic solutions and enable thought leadership and mindshare through industry conferences, working with analysts, and publishing industry-oriented white papers.
Managing the harvesting and creation of intellectual property (IP) for both sales and delivery to support solutions for global reuse.
Defining, building the readiness roadmap for training marketers and sellers on prioritized solutions, and supporting the delivery of this roadmap in our field.
Ensuring that business processes are executed, and that appropriate feedback and refinements are driven to improve efficiency towards meeting company success measures.
10+ years of professional experience in management consulting, solution offering/product strategy, marketing, sales, consulting, technology implementation, or related field
Business-level expertise in Applications and Infrastructure solutions including experience with, and understanding of customer needs, competitive positions, current market drivers and imperatives, and customer value drivers.
Deep expertise defining, building, and selling solutions across multiple industries.
Proven success in working in cross functional/cross organizational environments to drive outcomes beyond organization boundaries.
Strong track record of people leadership and growing effective global teams.
Demonstrated track record of effective communication with technical and business leaders at all levels within large enterprises.
Proven ability to transfer industry and market knowledge gained from customer engagements to account teams and other Microsoft constituencies.
Experience with executing plans with large field marketing and sales organizations.
Relevant undergraduate degree and /or equivalent work experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
