Sage Therapeutics Analyst, Investor Relations in Cambridge, Massachusetts

General Scope and Summary

Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, collaborative, and integrative thinker for a key role on the Investor Relations team. The Analyst, Investor Relations will contribute to achieving the company’s strategic Investor Relations goals, while enhancing the Investor Relations process during a period of dynamic growth for the company.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide logistical support and coordination for an active IR calendar, including investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, and bus tours.

  • Prepare background information on investors for key spokespeople in advance of meetings.

  • Manage database tracking engagements with key contacts.

  • Assist in developing press releases, earnings call scripts, public statements, and other documents to communicate Sage’s corporate story to investor and analyst audiences.

  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers.

  • Review and analyze analyst research and models, consensus estimates, peer estimates, industry trends, competitive landscape, sell-side research, and market-related trends impacting valuation and perception; summarize market sentiment on Sage and peers.

  • Support the overall Investor Relations function. Assist with day-to-day needs and long-term special projects.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, and excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting.

  • 1-3 years of previous healthcare/pharma/biotech/finance industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to travel 5%.

  • Experience in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance, or other role involving financial analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; effective at consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.

  • Strong presentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis as well as interpret information and financial concepts.

  • Capacity to develop an understanding of a dynamic, multi-faceted story, involving multiple elements of scientific, financial, commercial, competitive, strategic, and goal-oriented messages.

  • Understanding of sensitivity around material non-public information.

Benefits and Compensation

The base salary hiring range for this position is $70,013 - $96,268.*

  • The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, education, skills, and performance.

  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the bonus varies based on performance and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
