Massachusetts Maritime Academy Assistant Director/Donor Experience Offi in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts

General Statement of Duties: The Donor Experience Officer will combine digital communication efforts with innovative work flows to achieve the Academy?s fundraising and alumni participation goals. By utilizing technology tools, this position will be responsible for developing personal, customized relationships with an assigned portfolio of current and former alumni donors to seek renewed or increased support for the Academy. The Donor Experience Officer will manage donors, provide information to deepen their understanding of the University, and solicit annual gifts using digital tools such as email, social media including Linkedin, video conferencing, phone calls, and texting. This role works with a cohort of peers within the Advancement Office. Duties & Responsibilities: ? Actively engage and manage a portfolio of between 500 and 1,000 largely from recent and lapsed young alumni donors with consistent and meaningful communication from the Academy ? Cultivate relationships with these donors via email, phone, social media, video conferencing, texting, executing an average of 45+ outbound touch points per day. ? Solicit alumni to establish, renew, or upgrade their giving to any area of the Academy, integrating donor interests with their philanthropic priorities, demonstrate to donors the impact of their giving. ? Provide information on the Academy relative to the alumni donors? interest and shore upcoming opportunities to attend events, volunteer, participate in the alumni activities and otherwise deepen their engagement with the Academy. ? Identify and troubleshoot challenges to the donor journey and engagement experience and with appropriate Academy colleagues to address. ? Collaborate effectively with annual giving, corporate partnerships, and events management, staff in pursuit of effective solicitation and engagement strategies for those areas. ? Coordinate with the appropriate team members to develop a lead generation/hand-off structure that can be tracked. ? Develop and maintain broad knowledge of the Academy areas, such as admissions, athletics, majors/schools, and regimental practices. ? Work as a member of the team that produces in-person alumni engagement/thank you events, Homecoming, donor recognition events, and corporate fundraising events both on and off campus. Qualifications and Requirements: ? Bachelor?s degree ? Minimum of two years prior experience and success in non-profit or higher education fundraising. ? Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills especially via vide0 conferencing, text, and phone. ? Strong technical skills relating to web-based communications, email creations, and social media platforms. Ability to use and implement new technologies to the organization?s advantage. ? Exceptional organizations skills: detail oriented, accurate, ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at a time, ability to meet multiple deadlines, and able to quickly shift priorities and adapt to change. Preferred Qualifications: ? A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development and/or the modeling of inclusive behaviors. Salary: \$55,000 to \$60,000 The Academy offers generous benefits policies and a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is exempt under the FLSA.
