Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for contributing to the strategic development, coordination and implementation of corporate communications initiatives at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP). This role has the primary goal of elevating and protecting the leadership and reputation of the Company’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) initiatives, including developing and executing sustainability PR strategies that
promote awareness and engagement among our target stakeholders; engaging and activating both external and internal influencers and advocates for KDP’s CR commitments; leading public CR reporting initiatives; and supporting issues and crisis communications.
Position Responsibilities
Work with the Corporate Communications team in the strategic development, coordination and implementation of corporate responsibility communications programs at KDP with a goal of protecting and promoting the reputation of KDP across all external channels (paid/earned/owned/shared)
Lead collaboration with our Sustainability, Philanthropy, Community Relations and Government Affairs departments, including identifying initiatives and story ideas to leverage in external communications
Lead the development, drafting and publication of KDP’s annual CR report including messaging, design and working with key functions across the business to aggregate data and elevate our storytelling – ensuring compliance with disclosure requirements
Manage creation of communications materials, including messaging, Q&As, press releases, executive memos and other collateral, representing the corporate voice authentically
Support proactive and reactive media relations strategies for KDP’s corporate responsibility initiatives, including serving as a company spokesperson and training of spokespeople
Support corporate responsibility issues and crisis mitigation and management, including working with Consumer Care and Social Media teams to develop response strategies for escalated consumer situations
Partner with Corporate Communications in identifying opportunities to participate in CR awards, rankings and speaking opportunities
Analyze and identify industry trends, best practices and emerging risks impacting CR communications
Foster relationships with and provide day-to-day direction to external communications agencies and vendors
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required in Communications, Journalism or English degree preferred or equivalent required
10+ years of public relations or communications experience – agency or in-house
Experience managing agencies and/or team members
Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution
Ensures integrated communications approach, considering all audiences and communications channels
Possesses clear ability to manage multiple projects at once while demonstrating strong composure and flexibility under tight deadlines
Team player, ability to build strong relations internally across functional areas and externally with vendors, suppliers, and other constituents
Self-starter, highly motivated, and ability to work independently
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Commitment to company purpose and values
Ability to travel occasionally as required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
